RotS was by far the best prequel. I feel like it finally got the special effects extravaganza they were going for the entire time down. And it was fun to watch. But it was all over the place, and the main arc of Anakin turning evil was badly botched.
I can understand how somebody could prefer it to TFA, but I personally feel that TFA got the modern, high budget action thriller thing down more professionally (though it's admittedly lacking the same scope, and the epic Jedi battles). Regardless, I feel that TFA, RotS and RotJ are all in the same basic tier. ANH and ESB are fucking excellent. TFA, RotS and RotJ are entertaining but flawed. TPM and AotC are horseshit.

I don't know how fast Star Wars ships go, but seeing as they travel between distant stars, it'd have to be something like a million times the speed of light (at a mere thousand times the speed of light, it would take 25 years to go from the Earth to the center of our galaxy, and 100 years to go from one end of the galaxy to the other). At a million times the speed of light, if you're just 1/10 of a second too late pulling out of FTL, you'd overshoot your target by more than 18 billion miles. So going "not yet... not yet... now!" is all kinds of stupid.
