I've seen this movie four times in the theater and there's nothing you contrarian faggots can say to convince me that it isn't the best flick in the series since Empire Strikes Back

>b-b-but niggers kikes jews ess-jay-double-yous feminism mary sue!

Oh, fuck off. It's like you're convinced Phantom Menace hate was just a meme, and you think people are going to turn against TFA in a month so you're hating it for no reason just so you can be ahead of the curve
>>
The movie is awesome. Just by being better than the prequels is good enough for most fans. I have nothing against TFA except that Phasma was underused and wasted

If you use the word "contrarian," you're literally an idiot. It's a concept invented by idiots with reddit sensibilities who are too fragile to deal with criticism of mediocre media that has widespread appeal.

It's a troubling manifestation of millennials' mental weakness. Seriously, the only people who would even entertain any "argument" involving the concept of being "contrarian" are weak, lazy idiots who can't deal with criticism substantively.

If it bothers you that much that people criticize mediocre mass-marketed work designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, like Star Wars, Breaking Bad, pop music, etc., you should find a safe bubble and stay there. Or kill yourself.

This is probably the most autistic thing I've read on this website, thanks

I don't like The Force Awakens

that you excluded Revenge of the Sith from that list makes me think you're an idiot

Some of the most classic "are you fucking kidding me" lines in the franchise

It's fine, but the problem that I, and probably a lot of people have is that it just feels too much like a well crafted slick marketing gimmick to make money. Yes I know all blockbuster movies are intended to make money but this one just feels a lot more committee approved than the previous films.

People trying to prop up the prequels are missing the point. Those were terrible movies that felt unique and original and different because they were almost purposefully poorly made by an eccentric billionaire manchild and so lack a lot of the trappings of a modern corporate blockbuster. Doesn't make them good, just a different kind of bad.

TFA's major failing is that it doesn't really feel like a solid space adventure movie because it's doing 30 years worth of catch-up, introducing new character, shoving in old characters, setting up new factions and new problems to be solved later and making enough references to keep dimwits squirming in their chairs over "oh hey i remember that star wars thing!".

Hopefully Ep. VIII won't be so bogged down with these chores.

Haha holy shit

If you have any sort of brain you know its bad. Regardless i cant believe you wasted 50-65 dollars watching the same movie. Only borderline retards do that
>>
>>64648434
RotS is only enjoyable because it's hilariously bad. It's still a bad movie
>>
>>64648749
exactly, I'm not arguing that

I said that I don't like those 3, I never said they were good movies or implied that the others weren't bad
>>
The prequels at least had a few concepts and ideas that I liked about them and were somewhat original. The Force Awaken was just a completely generic, uninspired, and heartless cash grab. Some of the set pieces and locations were cool I guess.

I could say the same about TFA, every scene with Han was just laughable with his incredibly slow "running" and terrible dialogue. At no time during the film would I consider it good or did I enjoy myself. Considering any of the Star Wars films as great is entirely up to opinion
