Will you buy an Oculus Rift to watch films on?

I`m gonna buy it to fap to VR porn desu.
>>64634848
kek richfags can buy the first one which will be full of bugs anyway. I'll wait for the next version which will be cheaper and more stable.
>>64634848
As long as there's an option to just watch the fucking movie with disabled head tracking.
Why would I want to simulate sitting in a fucking empty theatre 100 feet from the actual fucking movie?
Yes I'm mad.
>>64634848
do shooters eventually come in?
>>64635056
You can walk and sit wherever you want

>kek richfags can buy the first one which will be full of bugs anyway
That's not how rifts work. The bugs aren't in the hardware. They are in the software, which will be completely independent of the hardware model.
Starting at 9:36, I like these three reactions in a row.

That's the Multiplayer. But it's pretty shit only 1v1 and you take turns but the turns take like 30 minutes before the attacker can start his turn
>>64634848
Why would anyone want this
>>64635462
A lot of people actually did want it before the devs sold out to kikebook.
FINALLY - a theatre without a no singles policy
I'll buy it later when they un-bundle the controller and other useless shit with it.
I just want the headset itself.
Also its generally a good idea to wait a production cycle or two with new hardware, like the first iteration of ps4's and xbones that had occasional factory issues (overheating, red ring shit) that got ironed out months later.
Wow I just looked this shit up. It's $600??? Fuck that shit.
>>64635620
premium cell phones are more $ than that
>>64635578
No, that's programmed in. You have to be invited.
>>64635138
In the very unlikely case that they don't follow the iPhone model (releasing a 'new' phone rather than updating the software to scrounge money out of retards), the earliest models are still going to have the buggiest software.
>>64635673
Not really the earliest model though, CV1 the consumer version is like the 6th headset they've made
People who've tried it said it's nearly perfect
>>64634848
No but I'll buy a Vive.
>>64635138
Wrong. Well, partially. Hardware is the main issue at this point. Mainly the Rift has shitty FOV and the Vive has a more noticeable screen door effect.
Steam has the OpenVR project so any issues that arise can be fixed by the public then integrated in to the release versions. Rift will rely on it's own devs to sort out it's issues.
Even Rift users will lean towards OpenVR games simply because OpenVR means less bugs for them.
>>64635741
Yet people still praise the Vive DK2 as being better than the CV1.
>>64635760
CV1 fixes the FOV
There was a showing of that at my school but I was too beta to try it (it was informal so there was no line, first come first served)
>>64635850
No it doesn't. Literally watch any CV1 review from this week when compared to the DK2 for Vive, they will all say the same thing. Vive has a screen door effect that's a bit more noticeable while the OR has a poor FOV that isn't much improved from the last DK. They improved the screen door effect in CV1 not the FOV.
>>64635597
>Also its generally a good idea to wait a production cycle or two with new hardware
This has always been my approach.
Sure you don't get to be the cool early adopter, but usually you wind up with a superior and cheaper product just by holding off.
>>64635945
No, they literally did fix the FOV, they now use square lenses and implemented a mirrored edge to extend the FOV greatly
Give me this review that talks about bad FOV
>>64635986
Sorry for the late reply, I had to take my lunch.
