I forgot The Brood. Having seen it before it was much better than I remembered. The monster kids are scary and the psychologist is played excellently.
Phantasm is great. I wish it was on Youtube for group streaming purposes.
Are there any good exploitation films about Charles Manson or films inspired by his story? Doesn't matter if Helter Skelter fairytale or his version, just some cool Manson films.

Hooker with a Heart of Gold is pretty good, but when you realize that the love interests couples in real life were married and now divorced, it kinda kills the vibe. Also I can't really watch shit that Jake was in because he cucked Brad.

I prefer Land Of The Dead actually. The parts involving the humans are shite but the story of the zombies is a beautiful tale of revolution.

I found the ending of the borderlands to be terrifying. Even if the movie was somewhat mediocre, the ending is still quite disturbing.
Also another reccomendation, The Wicker Man (1973 version). I wouldn't necessarily call it 'terrifying', there was a plot twist that through me for a loop and it's hard to describe what I found scary about it without going into spoilers.

Just saw The Babadook.
I really liked it. I was expectinga monster movie of sorts, but instead it was this intense psychological thriller. I guess it's kind only ambiguous whether the babadook was real or just an allegory for the mother's murderous desire.But it worked great. I really liked it.
Previous to that I saw John Dies at the End, which isn't exactly horror... felt more like a story by William Burroughs by way of Terry Gilliam.
