have less of a coherent plot
Guardians had some reddit-tier campy moments but it had a genuine sense of humor and left me feeling good about what i had seen.
TFA was 2.5 hours of tumblr fan service and left me thinking i had just seen NH if it was made 30 years later and blew.

Gotg was boring to me for some reason. I actually really like Pratt and think he's a great actor but the movie was so over the top that I kinda couldn't develop a proper care for anything.
I didn't love TFA either, but I was able to sit through it to the end at least.

And world building is a bit unfair to both, because Star Wars has a whole series of movies, series and comics backing that shit up, and even with all that the world building felt bland.
