Watch the whole thing and tell me this style and direction wouldn't have made a better movie.
The setting could be the 30 years after RoTJ rather than the old Republic.
Luke is a Jedi Grandmaster and trained an entire class of Jedi. Rey could be the Jedi apprentice with the double sided blade. Luke could be the Jedi "Maul's species" guy. The Sith are just an army that rose up and abandoned the Rule of Two.

What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? There is absolutely nothing wrong with well-choreographed fights. The problem with the prequels is that the choreography involved lots of obviously fake strikes (aimed at the weapon instead of the opponent, clearly not going anywhere near the opponent, no power behind the strike) and other dumb shit like slow-ass reactions and awkward pauses. These problems are not in the video OP posted. Yes it's overreliant on dumb matrix/300-style "epic" slow motion but the fight choreography itself is good and fitting for a Star Wars lightsaber battle (except for whenever the troopers or smuggler appears, these are retarded).

Except for Jedi's being OP it's not prequel-tier at all. The thing is, it could never be adopted into movie, because this kind of choreography (including the fact, that they actually try to harm each other), movement, camera angles etc. are impossible with our technology and actors who are >not force-sensitive
I kinda liked how duels looked like in TFA though. More brutal, simple, maybe even primitive, with no heavy reliance on CGI and just enough choreography to make it look different from normal sword-fight (without turning it into prequel abomination).
