I no longer invest in physical media, but if you're into that, cool.
Those shelving units are nice. Solid wood?
>>64607690
Dude, chill out. No need to get abrasive.
>>64607732
Yes. 1x6 pine glued and screwed with a 1/2 plywood backing. 8" spaced shelves. Screwed directly in studs on wall. the little one is 2 feet by 4 feet and the large one is 3 feet by 6 feet.
Wish I would have made one large shelf about 4 foot by 8 foot but...

That's it? This is fucking pathetic. I had more than that the first month I bought a DVD player.
>not a single criterion release
how do criterion still running if virtually nobody buy their blu-rays?
>>64606986
I like your thread, OP. I store my movies in baskets under my TV. Soon I'll move all of them in slim CD cases, so I can store more. I'm thinking of buying black boxes that can be labeled, but they're hard to come by in Canada (where I live atleast).

> not exclusivly buying only personal favorites
>tfw you buy a film from a online store

Why would you waste this much money when blu ray is literally going to be irrelevant in a few years?
>And this, Ladies, is my collection of blu rays.
Eww.
inb4 dad-core, 80's core, Chinese cartoons
>>64610691
>Princess Bride

>>64610691
I like this solely because of Rudy and the fact that you own Ong Bak 1 and 2, but not the third lol perfect.
>>64610691
>Not the Japanese Kill Bill Unrated set
Do you even movies my friend?
>>64610877
Best version is the kill bill the whole bloody affair fan edit, I have a 720p copy on my hard drive. Haven't even watched my blu ray copies of 1 & 2 since I downloaded it
Picture from back in 2012 or so. Hasnt changed much aside from removing bad DVDs.
I'm just getting started but I have a handful of blu-rays
Am I the only one who refuses to buy anything under 70% on Rotten Tomatoes? I have close to 300 Blu-Rays, and not a single one is a "rotten" movie. Granted, a lot of my Blu-Rays are TV shows, but still.
>>64610877
The Bills are ancient, here's how faded the spine is. I'm a poorfag right now, and updating anything Tarantino is not in the cards.
>>64611276
You're gonna have to get a new TV if you wanna watch Blu-Rays.
Rate my latest purchases.
I have a wdtv box that plays 720p and 1080p mkv and mp4 files. why even buy a bluray player?
>>64611429
Fuck off, thief. This thread is for decent, hard-working folk.
>>64611448
>you wouldn't download a car
>>64611276
a lot of movies above 70% are fucking garbage.
pic-related and also the new stars wars
>>64611530
wrong person i meant this person
>>64611343
>>64611529
There's a difference between a $20 bluray and a $20,000 car, you cheap fuck.
>>64611529
>you wouldn't download a car
i would if it were possible
>>64611385
That tv has component video in, and a built-in DAC. Its the only reason I haven't gotten rid of it yet.
>>64611567
>literally proving my point
>>64611606
same, to be honest.
Got made fun of last time I posted, do your worst.
>>64610691
All of those amazing movies (seriously I own most of those as well), and then there's Zombieland.
What were you thinking?
>>64612008
OP here. I have some of those movies (about 40% guessing) so
>>64612008
>Prometheus but no Alien or Aliens
What the fuck anon
>>64612008
That's literally the worst collection I have ever seen
The only good ones are The Thing and Lord of the Rings
>>64612177
My bro is borrowing my Alien anthology
>>64612251
And it begins
>>64612008
Meh. /tv/ is always going to give you guff for having capeshit and dudeweedlol, but you have some great scifi. Also Fountain and Samsara gave me mad feels.
>>64612146
Picked up Zombieland on clearance when Blockbuster closed. And you're right, I haven't been able to sit through it since I got it.
>>64611429
Classy
>>64606986
Is the Mad Max anthology worth getting? I'd rather not fork out 80 bucks for it, seeing as how you can buy the four individual for less than 50, but I don't know if any qualities upgrades or new bonus features make it worth it
>>64607684
Very nice, I'm jealous of your collection
>>64609566
This. I'm not blowing hundreds of dollars so I can brag about the movies I have. I buy ones that I want to watch often and in great quality
>>64612008
It's so entry level, but not without several gems
>>64612938
I dont have have 300 personal favorites
> Being borderline horder
>>64613083
I was agreeing with you. Neither do I.
>>64609100
So do you ever buy any non metalpak films
>>64612829
I bought it on sale at best buy for not much more than the single movie.
haven't watched much of it
Here's what you're getting in the Mad Max Anthology: The original Mad Max Trilogy presented exactly as they are in their blu ray formats, Mad Max Fury Road in glorious 1080p, and a feature length documentary called The Madness of Max that is based on the creation of the original 1979 cult classic.
And now special features:
Mad Max:
Commentary by Jon Dowding, David Eggby, Chris Murray, & Tim Ridge.
Mad Max: The Film Phenomenon
Theatrical Trailer #1
Theatrical Trailer #2
The Road Warrior:
Introduction by Leonard Maltin
Commentary by George Miller and Dean Semler
Theatrical Trailer
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
Trailer
Mad Max: Fury Road
(It's a shame, because the first three movies go right to the main menu, but Fury Road unfortunately features a Black Mass trailer and an ad for Digital Movies at the start.)
Maximum Fury: Filming Fury Road (29 Min.)
Fury on Four Wheels (23 Min.)
The Road Warriors: Max and Furiosa (11 Min.)
The Tools of the Wasteland (14 Min.)
The Five Wives: So Shiny, So Chrome (11 Min.)
Fury Road: Crash & Smash (4 Min.)
Deleted Scenes
And the fifth disc is the feature length documentary on the first film. It's a whopping 2 and a half hours long, and it's a definite must watch for fans of Mad Max. Unfortunately, it is in Standard Definition.
Also included are four art cards, one for each film. They are fairly thin, but feature some gorgeous artwork from the films. I have attached a photo so you can view for yourself.

Had a shit tier torrent of Tree of Life, so I never watched it. Looked up the blu-ray on Amazon and its $6 and change. Feeling pretty good about my purchase.
>>64606986
wasting room in your hose with gay cd cases
Question:
Do you prefer movies and subsequent sequels/prequels to be in their own separate cases or box sets?
Me id rather they all be seperate, a shelf full of box sets and double packs just doesn't look right.
