Just watched this for the first time. What a great movie. As cheesy as it sounds, it's inspired me to start training and getting in shape.
Also liked how Adrian was so shy. Was a really different dynamic than what I thought was gonna happen. Should I continue watching the others?

Damn, is this true? I wanted to watch 2 because I heard he rematches Apollo, and he didn't actually get to beat him in the first one. Although, he did go the distance I guess.
There's nothing like the original Rocky. Great, inspiring low budget movie.
Fun fact: some of the scenes were shot by the Troma crew. I think Lloyd Kaufman even has a credit in it somewhere.

That's what I liked so much about this movie I guess. This bum ends up getting this super shy girlfriend, and everyone would call them losers. Then Rocky gets his chance, and he doesn't even want to win, because he knows Apollo is in a whole nother league than he is. He doesn't have those "American Dream" delusions of grandeur, and Apollo only picks him in order to play off of that since it's the bicentennial. All he wants to do, in order to be proud of himself and know he's done something worth talking about, is to stay in for all 15 rounds. And he does it.
And in the end he has his girlfriend in his arms and everything seems okay.
Might as well watch the rest of the series. 5 is complete trash though, I've only seen it once, a long time ago. The rest (2-4, Balboa) aren't bad, Balboa is closer to the original. But the only one that really is worth watching is Creed, everything comes full circle. Though its obviously a set up for a new franchise.
The first three are more drama which I liked. IV has some good scenes but not as good. V is not good. Rocky Balboa was ok. Creed is fucking amazing.

Rocky 1 is the only one worth watching IMO. It's a great little movie, but the others become too self-indulgent for my tastes.
Although watching the one where Rocky defeats communism can be watched ironically as good entertainment.
