The only one I saw from your 10 was Straight Outta Compton which I gave a 7 but ranked it below the 7/10s that made it to my list.

Keep in mind, seeing The Revenant tonight and still haven't seen everything I wanted to from 2015. My top ten as of right now is:

1. Spotlight
2. Sicario
3. The Big Short

6. The Martian
7. Steve Jobs

Star Wars was terrible

No idea who that is, but there are a couple mainstream films up there.

haven't actually seen The Comedy yet. I torrented it when it first hit The Pirate Bay with the intention of seeing it that night. probably the most bizarre film experience ever when everything past the ten minute mark was Tim Heidecker, topless on a boat, with "DO NOT STEAL FROM THIS MAN!" written in caps. pic related.

haven't gotten around to seeing it since. I ought to, though.

>acts elitist

yeah, because posting in Top 10 threads with obscured screenshots from films that are prized for being rarified rather than being good is perfectly normal, right?

For anyone curious, the ones I know are:
Vanishing Point, Horse Money, La Sapienza, ???, Pearl Button, ???, Corn Island, Son of Saul, ???

Forbidden Room, From What is Before, Icaros, The Move, Rabo de Peixe, The Visitor, Field Niggas, La Zuppa del Demonio, I forgot but it was on Mubi.

there's no point seeking out the others. considering his taste you won't be missing anything.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

The Hateful 8

>>
>>64595061
I try to take stuff like this into account when I see these threads. I can't criticize somebody for not having Son of Saul if it never played within a 100 mile radius of their home, but I still think some wide releases reveal someone's taste a lot more than others.
Also, there were plenty of great movies released straight to VOD, like Bone Tomahawk, Slow West, and The Voices. I'm not saying all lists should have more obscure movies, but if somebody has more options out of their comfort zone they might find surprises. Seeing something like Spectre over Spotlight might feel like a "safer" choice, but you'll miss out on a much better experience without realizing it.

this

i can basically only see things on the internet. where i live i get some small releases, but usually they're just the ones that start small then expand, and i generally only get them a week or so before wide release anyway. sometimes i luck out though, because the museum of art near me will play more obscure shit (like the Assassin this year or the Great Beauty the year before).
