Funny you say Melancholia had 1 hour of content when Nymphomaniac probably had 90 minutes of content in a 3 hour runtime. I liked Part 1 fine but Part 2 was mostly dreadful. You know you're in trouble when the preview at the end of Part 1 was better than anything in Part 2.
Anyway, his best movie is Dogville.
