Because it's a vapid meme.
>>64536669
Movie was ahead of its time...so SJW that I'm surprised Cameron didn't hang himself to punish himself for being human (worse than being White)
>>64536702
It's true though, nobody really even cares about Dances With Smurfs anymore
>>64536942
It is true, but still >forbes
>>64536669
>why did this non-franchise film leave no cultural footprint in a society that only gives a shit about franchises
hmmmm this is a tough one. . .
Because it was made to pander to international audiences so it was shallow as fuck
>wahh we need memes
>these are not the droids your looking for XD
>I am your father XD
>greedo shot first!
>>64536669
And the same will be true of the New Trilogy
How fucking retarded can they get?
Theres a GODDAMN CIRCUS SHOW BASED ON IT!
>>64537018
>Non-franchise
Oh I am kekking.
>>64536669
Jimbo sure as fuck isn't complaining.
>>64538502
I think the worst part was how little rule 34 there is.
I mean, its out there, but it feels so uninspired. Like no one really cared enough.
Its kinda sad compared to the massive avalanche of smut thats already out there for Zootopia

NOTHING STOPS THIS TRAIN

>leaving-no-pop-culture-footprint
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
Are they really complaining about Avatar not being memetic enough?
>>64536669
Would it be too wanky of me to say that it's a result of a changing society, with an ADHD attention span that's more than willing to spend money on stuff they don't retain?
I consume a metric fuckload of media and hardly retain any of it, and most of my friends are the same (I'm 22, so I'm not an oldfag). The younger people I know will heavily connect with a handful of franchises or films, but burn through so much media that a lot of it is forgotten. At the same time the franchises they 'love' have a huge online presence so they don't even need to retain anything from that.
Older generations are also more financially sound and more connected to pop culture than previous elderly generations, and resultantly have widened general target audiences.
Include the aforementioned hype marketing that is endemic today and how the internet can make people think that people are in their own 'niche' that they need to support when they're actually the mainstream audience (see: capeshit in popular media is still presented as niche, video games) and we're in a place and time in society were excess spending on entertainment is rampant, and the mass consumption is detrimental to the impact of said mediaI think most of /tv/ is smart enough to know this already but whateverAvatar is my mother's favourite movie.

My theory is that Neyteri and the rest of them just looked too humanoid.
The majority of r34 in existence is created by furfags, and if they're not into it.. generally it just doesn't happen.
Abatap was a pretty good meme desu

ur mum is patrician
>>64536669
They're a 100% right. It's an empty spectacle with no redeeming qualities.
Star wars is a cultural mainstay for a reason.
Who /meme/ here?
>>64538937
>I'm 22 so I'm not an oldfag
You're new as Fuck if you think your age determines if you're an oldfag or not
>>64539300
>Star wars is a cultural mainstay for a reason.
And that reason is George Lucas.
>>64536669
Because Avatar was just part of Pocahontas' pop-culture footprint.
>>64537018
there's a sequel coming out on 2017
