The fact is that Hamill has had a comfortable existence doing other B-tier nerd stuff (voice, comics, minor parts) all along, and he's actually been a worker. I don't know all his voice credits but I do know that he's been very active there (particularly the Joker)
It's just nice to see that he's an intact human being (unlike the Charlie Sheens and Miley Cyruses of the world), and doesn't seem to have had his life ruined by the Luke part as various child actors or other Hollywood types have been (AFAIK). Less than a minute of screentime, no lines, second billing and I assume seven-eight figures just for that? I'll take it.

Right after A New Hope, he was in an awful car wreck that absolutely destroyed his face. The surgeons had to take cartilage from his ear to rebuild his nose. That's why they wrote the wampa mauling into Empire Strikes Back. If you look at pictures of him before and after, it's insane.
