So, why was it bad again?
>>
it's not good or bad, it's just a ring
>>
From my point of view MI6 is evil

thats a good point. there is a bond game called blood diamond where bond has to stop a million who may or may not be making dangerous biological weapons. when i started playing the game gives you no indication that the person your after is doing what M says hes doing, even James bond questions this at the start, so in my head i conclude that some one was manipulating mi6 like a rival corporation to get rid of their competition. wow what really cool idea. but in the end the game just goes the easy route and you find evidence that the millionaire is making killer gas.

and that torture chair with the micro drills didnt make any fucking sense at all

>Spectre

>Why would M wait until she was dead to make sure Bond got the message to seek out Sciarra, a Spectre operative in Mexico City, especially if Sciarra had plans to commit acts of terrorism? Did no one else have a file on Sciarra? Did she know she was going to die?

>Bond goes to Sciarra’s funeral for no reason, and putting himself at risk of being identified by people who may have known Sciarra. He then fucks Sciarra’s wife after saving her from being killed. She had no reason to be saved, and he had no reason to see her. She tells him about the existence of Spectre, the shadow organization that James Bond and others already knew existed and had been hunting for years.

>Spectre is shown to be a powerful organization where politicians and businessmen govern from the shadows to further their interests. Positions are held by rich and powerful men and women who fear the wrath of Franz Oberhauser. When a position is to be filled, it isn’t done so with skill and intrigue. Instead, a pro-wrestler jabs a man’s eyes out and deems himself suitable for the position. No one opposes this.

>If Spectre wanted Mr. White dead, why would they put radiation or whatever in his phone? Why let him stay alive long enough to divulge information about the whereabouts of his daughter? We’ve seen previously that Spectre kills suspected leaks without mercy.

>Mr. White tells James Bond to find L’American, but doesn’t tell him that it is a hotel. There is no reason not to tell him it’s a hotel. Spectre already knows that this hotel exists because Mr. White worked for them through Quantum, so why not cover their tracks? They’re totally willing to destroy their bases to over their tracks, so why not a small hotel? James Bond has to wait until he saves Madeline to find out about the hotel.
>>
>Nitpicking, but relevant: A close analysis of Sciarra’s ring shows a “DNA Match” connecting Le Chiffre, Green, and Silva to Franz Oberhauser. Did anyone else notice this when Q was analyzing the ring? They did not all wear the same ring.

>L’American has a secret room that cannot be entered unless the flimsy wall is broken down. The wall was built to keep the information inside from being found. Why not destroy the information if you didn’t plan on entering the room ever again? Why build a wall if you intended to get back to the room to access the info?

>There is no reason for the pro-wrestler to attack Bond on the train to the desert. Oberhauser was expecting him to turn up at the crater anyway, that's why he sent the car to pick them up.

>Franz Oberhauser is evil because he has daddy issues. He thinks James Bond supplanted him as son. This is the best writers could do to connect the two characters instead of saying that they were both recruited for the 00 Agent program and Oberhauser chose to use his skills for evil or something else. Too bad they used that idea in Goldeneye and Skyfall!

>Madeline Swann chooses to leave the safety of Bond and friends because she cannot tolerate a life of espionage, knowing full-well that she is still being hunted by the shadow organization she is fighting. She is captured immediately afterward, like, literally seconds afterward.
>>
it wasn't

>Blofeld, who has absolutely no reason to be in London, personally oversees the arming and detonation of a building to kill James Bond. The head of a huge shadow organization decides to do this personally, putting himself at risk of getting caught by authorities. He is ultimately caught by these authorities.

>A fully-fueled boat is docked at the MI-6 headquarters which is armed for demolition. There is literally no reason for this boat to be there if the building has been rigged for demolition. This allows Bond to chase down a helicopter with a single bullet, which is ridiculous because only an hour prior we witnessed a chase sequence with a mostly-destroyed airplane surviving impossible obstacles and disable two SUVs. The start of the film shows a helicopter doing all kinds of loops and tricks without any trouble.

>Bond, who has a license to kill and no reason to let Blofeld live, lets Blofeld live. There is no reason to show mercy to a man who is so powerful and well-connected he will escape the authorities and continue to run Spectre. After all, Silva (in Skyfall) wasn’t in custody for long, was he?

I think the point of this was that the ring was not made of (just) metal, it was made of cremated ashes.

Look up cremation jewelry.

To be fair, he's pretty clear that he's been everywhere James Bond was, that he goes places in public and is overlooked.

The movie was shit, though. Especially the romance stuff, which was so forced.

She's a woman.
>>
Because the first 2/3 was the best Bond since the 60's but the last act was shitty modern Bond again.
>>
As much as I like the bourne, I want this trend of james bond to stop. James Bond as a rogue agent against the world is pretty boring

Bane?

The third act makes no sense.

no strong woman as the leading character

I got bored about 3/4's through the movie

I'm very fucking glad I didn't pay to see it
>>
I'm just going to pick just a single example, based off the picture you chose

>entire circle of Spectre higher ups were immediately identified and traced because all of their finger prints conveniently happened to be on 1 (one) ring
>>
>>64508725
they jerk eachothers dicks and all got eachothers cum on their hands

>>64508725
Not to mention three of those guys had already been dead for fucking years
>>
I loved Casino Royale, enjoyed Quantum of Solace, adored Skyfall.

Spectre is a fucking turd.
They ran out of good ideas for this movie, they pushed it one eisode too far.
No witty comebacks and jokes
Waltz as a vilain fucking sucked.
Poorly made desu, rushed.
Spectre conglomerate of crime felt ridiculous
When Blofeld show Bond and Lea the meteorite in the algerian desert.... what was the fucking point? stupid scene
>we spy you, spies
>information is everything in this new world of technologies and progress. It is a revolution
holy shit kill me

Fucking loved Lea Seydoux, though. That is all

>>64505752
>It was me, Bond! IT WAS ALL ME!
>>
>SPECTRE hold a GM conference in the very same city on the very same day they've just had a funeral for one of their members, who wasn't actually that important

>bad guys crash car but Bond doesn't bother to check the most dangerous bad guy is dead after shooting the passengers in the head

>brand new government building that replaces the MI6 HQ has no one working in it at night, not even security

CONVENIENT

How do you explain the drill scene? Did he miss? Is the power of love (tm) too strong?

I saw it last night and I quite liked it, but I think it went off the rails towards the end. Bond and Swann going to Blofeld's super secret base that's been hyped up for over an hour and then blowing it up with a fucking assault rifle and easily flying away was such a waste. And then we get them having another confrontation with Blofeld in London anyway. I really think they should have left Bond and Swann in Africa to resolve their story there, while M, Q and Moneypenny dealt with C in London. There was no need for them all to be in London together and it made the ending unnecessarily stretched.

I expected a lot worse from what I've read online, but I did hate the Blofeld being Bond's sort of brother angle. It's such a cliche and makes the world seem too small. There doesn't need to be a backstory to the world's greatest spy and the world's greatest criminal mastermind facing off.
