I think in episode 2, one of the cloners says that the clone army was commissioned 10 years ago. Also, the clones look just like, so unless they started cloning Jango when he was a baby, they must have accelerated aging.
Once the Empire takes over, they can just recruit randoms from the shit ton of planets and not worry about accelerated aging.

Just look at the Starkiller Base. Sure, the main cannon is powerful, but they need to use an entire sun as fuel to power it. Also, they couldn't even afford to build a planet-sized space station like the Death Star. Instead, they found an uninhabited planet and built a giant cannon inside of it.
