P&T didn't post their sources on screen while they took down an idea. But never the less they made pretty similar points about a lot of topics. And while P&T had some heavy handed athiests/libertarian views what they were getting at was the same idea, popular naritive is not correct nearly because people believe in it.

Their one on the IRS was particularly fun, if a little flawed. And they even made a retraction on the stuff about second hand smoke from the first season.

I think that shows a lot more character than people who refuse to admit they are wrong.

Yep. Similarly, Nathan For You is just an updated Da Ali G Show.

Wow you can Cherry pick, congratulations. . new age mystical bullshit robs people of millions of dollars a year even when people know what a crock of shit it truly is.

You won't convince the people selling it to stop, but you can convince those on the fence not to give them any money.

They literally did nothing wrong in that episode though

Their show on MTV got cancelled, iirc, so maybe it wasn't so good back then

In an interview Penn admits that they did find some new studies that better linked second hand smoke to health problems. Their points on it being a personal choice and even a business decision for companies that want to allow smoking were on point.

I heard a friend saying that in commiefornia you can be fined for smoking in your own home. Can't look up the info right now on my phone. It seemed like a gross overreach of government.

It's pretty entertaining. Nathan Fielder is very good at staying in character.

If we follow the logic that it actually is bad for the people around you (it likely isn't), then what business would still want it around aside from a few restataunts and bars?

The point was it should be up to those bars and clubs to decide if they will allow smoking and not for the government to ban it outright.

That you're not forced to work there and accepting that job comes with that implied risk. The same way working in a dangerous job comes with implied risks.

Down in Florida they circumvent the indoor smoking ban by relabeling places as a "private club" so bars and strip clubs can still allow it. .

Unnecessary laws just serve as a vehicle for legigious people to sue companies and employers just as easily as they are used to protect people.

Wanted to make a friendly thread about how a tv show jumped the shark, a subject /tv/ usually loves. And now the thread's just neo/tv/ /pol/cucks trying to act like knowitalls. Sad day.

Also you can't ever discuss a "know you know" show without some dipshit talking about Penn&Teller because it's the only shit they've seen. *sigh*
>>
>>64480330
I'm serious though, a lot of employees and managers seem really jackbooted about people smoking in their building.
>>
I enjoyed this show until I saw them cover topics I actually knew things about. The amount of bullshit I spotted immediately made me question everything presented on topics I know nothing about. The show got ruined for me after that.
