>Danny Boyle - Steve Jobs
>Tom Hooper - The Danish Girl

They're pretty much all worth a watch, the more interested you are in the filmmakers the better. The smug English cunt that hosts them is the most asinine fuck in history and constantly cuts people off and forces his stupid questions. I saw it in 70mm in a 550 seat theater at the European premiere on new years day, front row center (I usually go for row 4/5 but they were taken and I think center is far more more important than being too close).

This is actually one of the best lineups yet. Even if I don't love all of the filmmakers at least they all undeniably operate at a pretty high level of quality.

Last year had fucking Angelina Jolie in it and it felt like bring your daughter to work day. It did give us an incredible moment where she says she loves some obscure Hal Ashby film and before he can check himself Nolan blurts out, "Really? He always does some of the roundtables but it seems like Stephen "The Interrupting Brit" Galloway always shoehorns himself into the most prominent roundtables (usually directors, actors and actresses, varies a bit year by year). Some of the female journalists they have for the roundtables are muh women's rights types but there are couple of them that are good too and know when to shut up. Unlike Galloway who ironically is highest out of them all in the hierarchy of the THR.

While I find Galloway annoying, the two dykes at the Studio Executives roundtable are flatout obnoxious to me as a viewer. For me, this is a rare opportunity for me to see the most powerful people in the movie industry talk to one another on how films are made and their respective thought-processes. I do not want to spend 1/4 of this precious time being spent on some bullshit buzzfeed baiting journalism.

I have. Some of the emails about her wanting to direct Cleopatra I find rather mean. What even happened to Cleopatra?

Well it is produced by Sundance right?
That would explain it.

It was funny seeing Tom Rothman getting mad though, I bet that's like 10% of the rage he can display off cameras.

I wish people would stop sucking that dumb slut's cock all the time.
I'm no fan of muh racism but I was glad Chris Rock call her on her shit. White actresses don't have it hard stop bitching when you're making millions when black bitches aren't even hitting close.

You have to remember he was in his early 40's when he made Alien and it was only his second film. He spent years in the British industry working shit jobs on sets and learning the business.

>The English Crew for Aliens absolutely hated James Cameron because they all wanted to be working with Ridley not some fucking young american
love Ridley

>QT spilling the spaghetti
>QT still with his digital hate boner and everyone in the table is tired of it.
>Ridley looks at everyone as plebs.
>Boyle talking about his failure

This is nice

I like how Ridley just goes "wtf is going on" when innaritu tells him he's exhausted after making 2 movies in a row.

THR basically staged this photo on a spectrum from shittiest directors to best directors.
They know.
