I thought there was going to be a plot twist after Kilgrave escape and Jessica realized he couldn't control her anymore. They did that flashback to when she killed Luke's waifu, and for a moment (until the next episode shut it down, actually) I thought it meant that Jessica was NEVER controlled by Kilgrave, that she literally just let herself be carried by him or even subconciously wanted to do all those things.
