B) It doesn't kill the mystery, or at least not in any particularly detrimental way. It doesn't explain what the force is, or how it came to be, or even how it works. All midichlorians do is establish why some people are force sensitive and why others aren't, or if this is even something that's capable of being determined, which is something I felt needed explaining in the OT.
