It seems to have a Jumper kind of feel to it but I'm probably wrong
>>64460636
its good
>>64460636
I haven't watched the second but i honest to god loved the first.
>>64460636
im already going to TL:DR
its better than i expected, surprisingly entertaining
during iron giants limited rerelease last year, it had two shows, one of which fucked up at the theater that was showing it for me. the manager clearly didn't know what the fuck he was doing. so after waiting an hour for him to say "we're going to keep trying to play it, but we'll put something on so you're not just sitting in an empty theater waiting" they put on maze runner 2, and then eventually refunded all our iron giant tickets/gave vouchers for free shows
so i went into maze runner 2, already pissed at them, disappointed, and havent seen the first one, nor wanted to read the books at all
and i actually liked it, visually it was good, the city cg was a little shitty in parts, but overall it wasn't bad. the monster design was entertaining, its apparently some sort of fungus zombie or some shit, i dont know. and the action was pretty good for a "kids" movie. Clearly i missed alot of shit the story was about, didn't know who a fuckton of the characters were, nor care about some of them. But with all of that, i actually liked it, it made me want to watch the first one, which from the little i looked into it, had BETTER creature design, and more action
from what i heard though they fuck with the story, and leave out alot of shit, but not so much that its a different story
>>64460636
It's a lot more violent than Hunger Games.
The latest one has Gus Fring driving a truck full of explosives into several soldiers trying to ransack a hidden rebel base and collect a bunch of teenagers to create a zombie cure.
>>64460636skarch
>>64460636
>tfw my name is thomas
Mmmmm
>>64460636
It is fun, but nothing amazing, which I'm sure you already figured out. I like that they didn't really force a love story as heavily as they did in Hungry Games. I haven't watched Part 2, though I fear the'll make the love story more prevalent, so I'm a bit wary about seeing it.
>>64460636
The first is fun enough, the second is goddamn terrible.
>>64461010
hello, fellow Thomas
>tfw people try to call you "Tom" or "Tommy"
>>64461012
shes actually a bit of a cunt in 2, if anything he likes her less in it by the end of the first 1/3
>>64460636
It's alright.
>>64461044
I actually went by Tommy for most of my life up until recently. Now, I go by my real name,CameronIt's a first name
>>64461010
Would you last a day in the Skarch tho?
>>64461101
And, of course sherats them the FUCK outat the end.
>>64461105
ARABED
ITT: Characters that would last multiple days out in the Skharch
I really liked the first one, had a cool mysterious feel to it and Will Poulter is based. The second one kinda sucks, basically just a standard action movie with some zombies thrown in
>>64461189
>>64461232
the zombies were cool, but there needed to be more, or far less of them
>>64460636
>its an effy acts like a giant whore episode
>>64460636
Depends. Do you like YA drama?
>>64461189
You have to ask?
>>64461267
>aggressive fast running zombies doing parkour
>cool
choose one
>>64461439
moreso the fungus in the sewers, and the spore tentacle vomit. i thought they were supposed to be some sort of scifi parasite, not just dead dudes
>>64461427
>>64461242
>>64461221
>>64461189
Which of these falls first?
>>64461509
Young Anakin because he's a bitch ass nigga
>>64460636
SHES SUCH A MOUTHBREATHER
>2016
>CHAV SLAGS
PS
YOU KIDS WOULDNT LAST ONE IN DAY IN THE SKARCH
>>64460636
I'm not the only one who saw the second movie simply because Aidan Gillen was in it, right?
The book it's based on is basically designed to get you to keep reading so you can figure out the mystery. Every time there's something close to a revelation, a new plotline opens up. Everything else didn't seem to matter to the author. The characters are annoying and I hate all of them. (except based CIA).
>>64461687
RIGHT HERE FAMILIO
first one was good, second one sucked.
>>64460636
It's shit. Don't waste your time.
>>64460725
The second one is even worse. Nothing to do with the first one.
>>64461797
HOES CONFIRMED FOR BACKSTABBERS M8Y
It's entertaining, stands out among the teen-centric novel to movie genre and the second one actually does switch up drastically from the first. Not great but also not bad, I want to see the third movie though.
>>64460636
It was better than The Hunger Games. I surprisingly enjoyed the first one. Still need to see the second one..
>>64460636
I like em so far. for having such young actors you'd think one out of so many would spoil all of it but I stays decent. I guess the second strays a bunch from the book but its still pretty entertaining. Better that divergent imo. All these teen book series I missed being made into movies should probably read them.
>>64462024
>should probably read them
no
I watch it for Dylan O'Brien. He is one of few guys i would let crush my boypussy, i'm not even gay.
THIS SHOT WAS LEGITIMATELY GUD
WAY MORE THAN EXPECTED FROM A THROWAWAY YA MOVIE
>>64462214
giggled at the file name
>>64460636
NO, I saw the first movie in theaters and it was so fucking boring and shitty. How on fucking earth did they make being dropped in some sci fi maze to be boring and uninteresting is beyond me, I really thought the hook of the movie would of guaranteed some entertainment but it's so cliche and generic. The maze isn't even cool and there are a ton of plot holes.
>>64462888
This, I went and saw the first one with about 6 buddies of mine and we were the only people in the theatre for it, so we just wound up calling out all the bullshit as it happened.
We later read the wiki article on where the plot was going and holy shit did it seem awful.
>YA book movie
I thought /tv/ being this level of reddit was a meme. I was wrong.
It's fucking boring and stupid, what the hell is wrong with you people.
I only went for Kaya Scodelario and we don't even see a lot of her
i heard that the maze was one thing but that you woudln't last a day in the skarch
>>64461107
Should have stuck with Tommy. More manly, Ms. Diaz.
>>64461779
oh god his fucking meme face just kills me every time
how does he even do it
>>64461427
He could live in the skarch if he wanted tbqh
Second one was above average, first one was a dull and makes even less sense than divergent.
>>64461687
I'm here brother
Only if Aidan Gillen is in it
>>64461687
>Aiden's face when he finds out he's becoming the most bankable actor on the planet through sheer memes
>>64460636
Literally superior.hunger games due to male lead instead
Although HG ended on a good note. Still remains to be seen how they conclude MR
>>64463632
>HG ended on a good note
>>64463648
What was wrong with it? It ended as well as a teenage girl self insert story could have ended
>>64463595
PAYIN'?
>>64461687
I didn't even watch the first one. I ONLY saw the second one for Aidan. Not even joking.
>>64463701
i only watched the compilation of all CIA scenes that based anon put on youtube
