And you call someone reddit? Fucking get back there you pleb faggot
>>64440911
Happy together seems so forced, this gay shit is completely unnecessary, the part of the "not Tony leung/Kit" guy could be a woman with no rewriting for the script needed, I love WKW but that movie felt like it wanted to sell this gayness and be a deep movie, but it's somehow really weak in comparison to a lot of his other stuff, the gay part seems just put ontop so it has some "value"
Give me recs

I haven't seen any of those. It's not that I love Ex Machina, just that I've barely seen anything that's come out this year.

>i don't understand/like him so anyone who does is wrong
>"movies I watched once and claim are my favorites" thread
That's like saying your favorite burger was the last one before you turned vegan and never ate burgers again. A favorite movie should be one that you see again and again, enough times that you memorized most of the lines n shit. If you go see it in theaters multiple times, pirate the movie, rent the movie, and buy the bluray (also maybe related merchandise) then you may have a favorite on your hands. If all you did was download it and watched it once, then never picked it up again, you're probably just name-dropping to get an ego boost.
Get fucked plebs.
>>64462902
Cmon now son, you can't possibly be this retarded.
I've watched some shitty comedies more times than most of the movies I have on my chart but that doesn't mean they're my favorite. Why do I watch them? Because they're fun. Irreversible is in my chart and I have watched it twice but I'm not gonna pop it while chillin with my friends, y'know?
Also, I have holy mountain in my chart, that movie isn't even slightly obscure nor underground but try finding some fine t-shirts of that.
Your favorite movie isn't the one that you watch the most not the one wich you fanboy over the most. It's the one that leaves the biggest impact on you and whether you want to revisit that or not is entirely on you.
Fucking faggot

There is nothing to understand you imbecile. He literally rips off Buddha, Socrates and Jesus, that's the theme of his movies. In the case of Tree of Life he also rips off Cosmos (by Carl Sagan) and every generic coming-of-age movie and cuts it all to death.
It's shit memery of the highest degree, and Americans think it's original because they've never read a book.
>>64463827
Kagemusha - Kurosawa
>>64443583
Prove me wrong you fucking idiot. There's no such thing that makes a movie a good movie, it's all up to the viewer to decide if it's good or bad.

>>64463848
Oh and I want to add: Mallick is a despicable human being. He casts only the highest-paid meme-actors and won the palme d'or with contacts despite being booed by the audience.

I don't. It is a lot of fun though and has an interesting set. An excellently made critique of society, not as artsy, but my favorite Tarkovskys were already posted in the thread.
>>64464245

>>64464318

>Then again, I yet have to watch 100 films that aren't hollywood trash.
it couldn't be any more obvious you pleb
>>64464563
literally every 3x3 in this thread contains a hollywood trash movie
>>64464619
Lol no. /tv/ is shit but there are plenty of charts here that are muich better than yours
>>64464663
Mulholland Dr., Potemkin and 7th continent are masterworks of artfilm, Barry Lyndon and Kagemusha are one of the best film epics of all time. La Jetée is amazing good, and persona is an artfilm staple.
You won't find "strictly better" films than these. And any other chart would have to contain at least those films to be strictly better than mine - which is not the case for any chart posted. I hope that fits inside your head.
