No, I wasn't expecting that at all. Look, Vader fell to the dark side on the PT and was redeemed in the OT. Luke wasn't even born in the PT, neither was Leia or Han Solo. Chewie was on ROTS for a few scenes doing nothing. Sheev was always evil and died on the OT. Obi Wan's backstory as Anakin's master is already revealed in the OT, so who cares about the PT? None of the events that happened there matter at all now.
