The only thing that annoys me about the extended editions is the implication in Fangorn forest that once Merry & Pippin are thrown before the white wizard the idea that they are orcs is resolved. Then about 30 minutes later the scene from the theatrical version appears where the ents decide that Merry & Pippin aren't orcs all over again. FFS it's just retarded and because the two scenes are now so far from each other it's just jarring.
