Snoke then captures Rey and tells her a ton of lies and corrupts her (like Bastilla in kotor). Ren beaten down redeems himself by helping the resistance and helping Luke restore the jedi order. If Rey turns evil, even for just a single movie, she will have a new costume and a new lightsaber. Just think of the merchandise! People will need that all black costume and darth maul staff reskin. If Kylo turns to the light side (and becomes more likable in the process), more people will want to buy his toys because they actually like him now.
Rey temporarily turning to the dark side still works with your feminist agenda or whatever you think the corporate marketing scheme is. She gets trained for a day by snoke, learns all he has to offer and gives him a witty speech about how his ways of thinking are flawed and feminism is the way of the future. By having her interact with snoke more, and giving snoke more screen time before the final confrontation in the 3rd movie, people will be more willing to buy his retarded ass action figures too. He will probably also have a unique space ship design like vader and the emperor had.
