OPs picture is normal temple recession that happens to nearly 100% of white males after puberty to varying degrees. Some people have that hairline by default. How is it that you're obsessed with hairlines and don't even know what male pattern baldness is?
>>
>>64398108
Buzzcut or undercut if your remaining hair's really thick
>>
>>64398187
How is that not male pattern baldness?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Male-pattern_hair_loss

> Male-pattern hair loss is the most common cause of hair loss and will affect up to 70% of men and 40% of women at some point in their lifetimes.
>Men typically present with progressive hair loss at the temples and vertex balding

Isn't this exactly what's happening here?
>>
Why is a receding hairline a cause for concern all of a sudden?
Is this some shitty that started at /fit/ like manlets?
>>
>>64398255
It's called mature hairline. It CAN coincide with hair loss.
>>
>>64398255
It is male pattern hair loss yes. But this will most likely never progress to baldness. Dude is 40 years old and has thick hair, there is no reason to fall for /tv/ memes, mad.
>>
>>64398319
The teens have entered their 20s if you haven't noticed.
>>
>>64398255

...It's only male pattern baldness if it progresses. Temple recession happens to nearly every white male and I think blacks too. It isn't male pattern baldness unless that temple recession progresses toward full baldness. What are you not understanding? The end result of MPB is full loss of hair on the top of the head. If someone has recessed temples and it stays at that stage, then obviously they didn't have MPB.
>>

But you're losing hair in a common pattern, isn't that what male pattern baldness is?

And yes its another attempt at a 'master race' meme where if you are balding you are 'lesser genetics' and everyone needs to hate you and wish you dead.
>>
>>64398397
>isn't that what male pattern baldness is?
it's male pattern HAIR LOSS, you dummy. the loss happens in a male pattern, from the temples. if you were a female, your hair would go thinner in the middle across the scalp. will it progress to baldness? we don't know, but the odds are highly against it.
>>
>>64398359
>>64398375
What counts as baldness? Full baldness?

If someone looks like this and it stays that way for the rest of their life, are you saying they didn't have male pattern baldness?
>>
>Have receeding hairline
>comb it back like that constantly, pulling more hair out
>>
>>64398397

No, that isn't what male pattern baldness is. Hairline maturation = loss of hair at the temples. MPB = Progressive hair loss where the end result is loss of all hair over the top of the head. Receded temples in the real world is, in fact, an attractive, masculine trait.

No, I'm asking questions, because a quick google search seems to contradict what you guys are saying.

What about bald spots? This guy still has some hair on top of his head. If no more hair gets lost, does that mean he doesn't have MPB? Since >>64398507 says

Or what if someone's hairline recedes massively, then stops? They still have hair at the top, it's just far back.

Oh my god, are you seriously 12? It doesn't matter what you call it or we call it. You can call it horse pattern hair loss if you want to. There is a fact of life that is much unknown to the general 4chan population (who were all teens when 4chan got popular and are now in mid twenties): male hairlines mature, their hair thins out. some go fully bald, some stay with the same hair for years. if you are so interested, you can see how things went for marlon brando, a dude with a receding hairline at very early age.

Then what does the "pattern" part mean, if the end result is 100% bald?

Would it be correct to say someone is "undergoing" male pattern baldness if they aren't bald yet?

Do a Google image search for male pattern baldness, most of the pictures show people with some hair.
>>
>>64399243
His hairline looks the same here. It's just less obvious since it's not slicked back.
>>
>>64399250

The only thing he's wrong about is that people now find it unattractive. It's considered unattractive by creepy internet losers who have a mental illness that makes them obsessed with hairlines and height, but women are actually hardwired to see a mature hairline like the OP as attractive and masculine. A straight hairline is actually called a "juvenile hairline," which most men progress beyond.

just go with it. own your hairline. chances are you look like you're trying to hide going bald by combing over your receding hairline.
>>
>>64399589
What's wrong about it? Do you think your receding will stop?

No, most males do recede in their late teens and early 20s but just little tiny bit, they don't develop a Henry Cavill hairline, if you develop that you're officially balding and the only way to stop it is to get on hair meds or hair transplant
>>

All the men on my dad's side are full bald, but all the men on my mother's side have perfect hair, so I'm hoping I just stay like this until I at least get married and have kids. At which point a guy doesn't care anymore.

i actually think cavil's hairline is the way it is because his hair is so curly. when it's fully grown out, the actual hairline is covered up by the curls but when its shorter or straightened out it looks like a widows peak

This desu. Both regarding the hairstyle and the new episode.

Pretty much all character development went out the window as every single character on the show was rendered somehow unsympathetic and annoying. Accordingly, EVERYBODY'S dialogue sucked; nothing felt like a believable thing for that person to say, and even if I were a first-time watcher all of it was clumsy and forced-feeling anyway. And speaking of forcing, the pacing was just absolutely fucked. Even the deductions felt half-assed and rushed. The most intense emotion the episode made me feel was the wave of relief that washed over me when Sherlock woke up on the plane and I figured that the shitshow was over.

2/10 tops. Priority number one when producing this episode was clearly turning the entire cast, male and female, into a bunch of annoying assholes for the sake of shoehorning in awkward social commentary on long-dead generations of English society, and everything else about the show (right down to the camera work, normally clever and engaging as everything else about the show) fell by the wayside in a big way. I'm still finding it hard to believe that the same people even wrote and produced it, even if the actors are all the same.

i think that when you look at it from a girls perspective (and if we are being honest, that's what matters here), girls don't think of a guy as balding until his frontal hairline (not the temples) has noticeably thinned/receded, or there is a noticeable bald/thinning area on the back of his head.

i know no one's going to believe me but i'm a female and baldness can actually be pretty sexy sometimes. or at least it doesn't really detract from a dude if he's already hot.

Jason Statham is bald and he's sexy as fuck. if a guy is bald but he's confident, maybe has a nice body or a really good personality, girls won't give a shit about his lack of hair.

Anyone who disagrees with this is underage, and or clinging to their hair as their final redeeming factor seeing as they have already wasted their youth on 4chan.
