Anyone else feel like there's like a lack of tall heroes and villains in the media in general. They're all usually manlets or in "le ideal height range XDdd" between 5'10 and 6'2. It's a shame because tall people can be pretty intimidating as villains and heroes. What do you think, /tv/? Are there any examples of good tall actors? (I'm talking like 6'5+"

Clint eastwood's pretty tall
we have the clegane brothers of course
I'd say 5'8" to 6'3" is ideal. 5'8" being humanity's average and 6'3" the maximum height to not look lanky.
To answer your question, Schwarzenegger.

There are plenty of guys they use as big lumbering bad guys. The alien bounty hunter from x-files, and bullet tooth tony both made a career out of being big guys.
But when yous start talking about making him freakishly tall, whats the point? It's harder to shoot normal scenes around it.
Meanwhile, you can make ANYONE look bigger on film by shooting at a lower angle, forced perspective, or just having them stand on a box.

I like him and how he portrays the Hound. He's only 2 cm shorter than me and proves that we tallguys don't always are lanky but can be nicely proportional.

It makes sense to not want heroes to be intimidating since usually they are the underdog, it's not uncommon for villains to be tall though see Christopher Lee, and especially villains henchmen
