I remember a couple of years ago when muh plinkett was big over here and hating on the prequels was the in thing to do.

One time someone made a thread inviting people to come up with a plot that would be a much better story line than Eps 1-3. Many anons tried, but all of their ideas were absolute shit compared to what Lucas had come up with. Not one post got any positive responses. It seems as though the storyline wasn't the worst thing the prequels had to offer after all, and in fact they had seriously good concepts just lacked in a bit of execution.

But can anyone come up with something better than TFA for ep 7?

It's about Luke seeking out other force users to rebuild the Jedi. Han is a flight instructor, and Leia is head of the Senate.

Let's keep Snoke. A battalion of left over Empire troops attacks Luke's Jedi school and takes three students, killing all of the rest, except for one. This one is Rey, a kid abandoned on a forest planet as a baby, and taking in by ayy lmaos. She isn't particularly gifted in the force, but she's precise with he physical prowess.

Luke continues to search for force users while he alerts Han and Leia of the remaining Empire forces. Luke joins up with Han and they take down a base, and find child soldiers inside. They free them, though Luke senses great force power inside a black kid.

Time skip!

Rey and Finn grew up together are training, when the three other students return. They attack Luke and he defeats two (nonlethally), but the third strikes him down. He stalled for just enough time for Rey and Finn to escape.

The rest of the movie is the two of them meeting Han's kid, Poe and searching for the remaining empire forces, and any remnant of the history of the force. This allows us to get worldbuilding before and after the prequels.

The movie climaxes as the two Jedi fight one of the other students. They defeat him easily, but then Snoke possess him like a puppet master and makes his body fight until he dies. Also they're in an old temple or something and spilling far side blood opens a secret door or something leading to a sith holocron.

and not really a creative type. But I will put forward some concepts.

One thing I didn't like was the cast of old characters and the "new" power having a monopoly of control. I would have preferred further in the future with maybe only Luke playing a cameo as a force ghost for the new Jedi order.

I like the idea of Darth Plagueis coming in as though he never really died. Maybe a whole bunch of Sith he has created through the force show up on the outer rim and start causing havoc.

A protagonist hero who isn't force sensitive and just a grunt soldier would be good too. Kinda like Finn, but not goofy and not a traitorous nigger (jk he can be a nigger).

>It seems as though the storyline wasn't the worst thing the prequels had to offer after all
It was bad, Ep I feels detached from II and III to the point where it feels like it's a prequel to them rather than a part of the trilogy

The Starkiller was unnecessary. Think about it. The real meat of the climax is going to get Rey, and then the subsequent encounters with Kylo Ren. It could be any First Order base, it didn't have to be a rehash of the Death Star. The only thing that the Starkiller adds is giving Poe something to do.
>>
OK, I'll try:

Turmoil has engulfed the Empire. The suicide bombing of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute.
Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly battleships, the cunning Princess Leia has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Alderon.

While the congress of the Empire endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Leader has secretly dispatched two Sith appreciates, the guardians of security and stability in the galaxy, to settle the conflict....

I keep the same basic plot but change some plot points.

Star Killer Base felt more like a side story than the main plot, which didn't work because it was supposed to be some fuckhuge deal. Pushing it to the side made it seem like a pushover, and as an extention, made the deathstar seem like a pushover because supposedly it's "5 times more super serious than the death star".

Instead of pushing it as the main plot though, I would just make it something that isnt so world shattering. Instead of a superweapon, I would make it a planet sized weapon factory.

This weapon factory is mass producing weapons for the first order. When the rebellion discovers it, they need to take it down to stop the First order from gaining the upperhand in the war. (This also makes a lot more sense contextually. It's far more likely the first order has created a huge factory without the republic noticing, instead of a superweapon).

Replace the scene of the starkiller destroying Republic controlled planets, with shots of each planets republic representitives and rulers being assassinated by the first order.

tl;dr: replace starkiller with a weapon factory to make it less of a big deal, and less of a rehash.

I'll keep the bones of TFA just because I'm lazy

>Han is main character
>Han is searching for Luke, has been for x amount of years.
>Han using his connections from his smuggling days to piece together clues. The Empire confiscated all records of Jedi Temples from the past, so he needs to use here-say and old timers as Empire records are gone, too
>Han winds up on Jakku, meets with Max Van Sydow about deciphering clues. Feels he very close and knows he shouldn't be on Jakku. Apologizes for risking danger, knows this is the only way he can find Luke. Max reluctantly agrees, telling Han that if he helps, Han must never come back to Jakku ever again.
>Kylo Ren is keeping an eye on Han, decides to finally intervene on Jakku
>movie plays out similar, except replace Poe and Finn with Han, who is able to escape Kylo and find shelter in the ship graveyard, where he meets Rey. Rey has been saving up for years to get a ship off of Jakku as nobody will take her for less than X amount of credits. Han agrees, if she helps him.
>Kylo is keeping the Falcon under guard near Max's village, knowing Han will eventually come back for it.
>Rey and Han fight their way back to the Falcon, take off, escape, etc.
>Kylo pursues, but calls ships off knowing he can track them with the flee to the Resistance base
>Han knows hes being tracked, brings ship to Maz's planet to distract FO while he disables tracking device
>Battle on Maz's planet, Han and Rey escape, make it to Resistance base unharmed and untracked
>Kylo PTFO, assembles his secret FO fleet to attack unguarded Republic planets to draw Resistance fleet out of hiding, thus also reigniting the Cold War between the factions
>It works
>Resistance defends planet from FO fleet, which is larger than expected, Republic caught off guard of course
>Kylo calls to Leia, who is in command, saying he will stop the attack if Han comes aboard his ship and provides him with the info he got from Max.
>Han agrees

The thing about the prequels is that they had a good plot that was poorly executed. TFA was a crappy plot that was well executed.

>TFA was a crappy plot that was well executed.
No, it wasn't. The plot of TFA is find Luke/Destroy FO super weapon. It's so simplistic that the only way to fuck it up is in it's execution. Which is exactly what they did. Awful pacing, poorly defined stakes, and sudden shifts in focus where everywhere.

Thirty years have passed since the Battle of Endor (Return of the Jedi), where both the Emperor and Vader met their doom. During the decades since Endor, the remnants of the Empire have been defeated and the New Republic formed out of the ashes of the Empire. However, enemies against the New Republic still exist. A rogue group of Dark Jedi have emerged that threaten the fragile stability that the New Republic enjoys.

The Cloud City of Bespin has been converted into one of the many Jedi training facilities located all throughout the galaxy. The Jedi's numbers are beginning to grow to Old Republic heights. The New Jedi Order consists of about 7,000 Jedi Knights. Bespin is now the home to both Jedi Masters, Knights and Apprentices.

During routine Jedi training on Bespin, the Dark Jedi invade wearing jet packs, which send them like a swarm dropping into the upper reaches of the cloud city. These Dark Jedi are seeking to re-establish the legacy of Darth Vader and, hence, they wear a more-advanced-looking version of Darth Vader's mask, helmet and body armor in honor of their fallen hero.
>>
>>64391725
As the Dark Jedi attack Bespin, their sleek battle satellites swarm the floating city and rain down turbolaser fire on the city. The Jedi are taken by complete surprise. However, the Dark Jedi seek not to conquer Bespin, but to capture some of the Jedi's prized holocrons, which hold vast quantities of information about the ancient ways and customs of the Jedi. As hundreds of light-saber battles erupt between the Jedi and their Dark Jedi counterparts, some of the Dark Jedi use concussion grenades to cause damage to Bespin's superstructure.

A few of the holocrons are captured by the Dark Jedi. With their mission now complete, the Dark Jedi retreat from Cloud City and fly away from the city using their jet packs which they wear on their backs. The Dark Jedi fly into the nearby clouds and disappear. The roar of engines can be heard as the Dark Jedi escape in their customized Tie Rager star ships, which were hidden in the clouds above Cloud City.

The 12 members of the Jedi Council are present in the Jedi Council chamber in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Several Jedi, who survived the battle of Bespin against the Dark Jedi, relate to Luke Skywalker (the head of the Jedi Council) that several Jedi holocrons were taken during the battle. Luke informs the Jedi Council that the Jedi will have to find these lost holocrons and bring the Dark Jedi under control.

Meanwhile, just outside of the Jedi Temple, a shape-shifting Dark Jedi named Asp morphs into Ben Skywalker and enters the Jedi Temple. Asp makes his way to the Jedi super computer area where Asp hopes to disable the Jedi's computer network. Padawans Anakin Solo (son of Han Solo and Leia Organa) and Ben Skywalker (son of Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade) are walking by the computer area. They both sense something and enter the computer area. Ben and Anakin are shocked to see someone in the room that looks exactly like Ben. Asp sees the padawans and flees the room. Ben and Anakin chase after Asp.

Asp makes his way to the garage at the Jedi Temple and steals one of the Jedi swoop bikes. At a high rate of speed, Asp flies down the streets of Coruscant. Ben and Anakin each get a swoop bike and pursue Asp. After a thrilling chase, Asp wrecks his swoop bike. The Coruscant zoo is nearby and Asp enters the zoo to hide from Anakin and Ben. Anakin and Ben park their swoop bikes and quickly follow Asp into the zoo. A spectacular light-saber duel erupts between Asp vs. Ben and Anakin. As the duel rages on, Asp begins to lose so he uses his light saber to release Rygor tigers from their cage.

Ben sees the tigers and says: "I've got a bad feeling about this." The tigers spot Ben and Anakin and then charge at the two padawans. Ben and Anakin battle the tigers. Within in a few minutes, Ben and Anakin have killed all seven of the ferocious tigers. However, by the time Ben and Anakin are finished fighting the tigers, Asp has escaped to parts unknown.

Elsewhere, Shindor, the leader of the Dark Jedi, is elated to learn that some of the Jedi holocrons have successfully been taken from the Jedi. Shindor is currently at the Dark Jedi's cloning facility, which is located on a planet nearby Coruscant. Shindor is using this facility to make clones of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The Dark Jedi plan to fulfill Darth Vader's prophecy that he and Luke should rule the galaxy as father and son and bring peace and order to the galaxy. The Dark Jedi are using Imperial DNA samples of Vader to produce a clone of the Dark Lord of the Sith and are using DNA samples from Luke's severed hand to produce a clone of the venerable Jedi Master. Skywalker's severed hand is currently owned by one of the chief Dark Jedi named, Spiden.

Meanwhile, Spiden hatches a plan to leak the Dark Jedi's efforts to clone Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker to spies working for the New Republic. Spiden hopes the leader of the Dark Jedi will be destroyed by forces from the New Republic so that he can become the new leader of the Dark Jedi. Spiden leaks this information. The New Republic military and a Jedi army plan to raid the Dark Jedi hideout.

Also, Spiden contacts Luke Skywalker and asks the great Jedi Master to meet with him on the planet of Sluivan. Spiden tells Luke that Spiden is a smuggler who came across Luke’s severed hand in a preservation box. Luke learns from Spiden that the Empire recovered Luke's hand that Vader cut off at Bespin. Spiden says that the hand is in perfect condition and can probably be re-attached to Luke’s arm. Luke agrees to meet Spiden on Sluivan.
>>
>>64391820
Luke arrives on Sluivan with R2-D2 and C-3PO. Luke enters a room where Spiden told Luke he would be waiting for Luke. Luke sees Spiden holding his severed hand in a transparent preservation box. Suddenly, the door behind Luke closes. Spiden sets down the hand and pulls out two light sabers. Spiden holds one in each hand and ignites them. Spiden tells Luke that he will now avenge the deaths of Sidious and Vader. Luke pulls out his light saber and ignites it. Luke and Spiden fight with their sabers. Luke manages to cut off one of Spiden’s hands. Spiden continues to fight with his other hand. R2-D2 rolls up behind Spiden. R2 ignites his rocket boosters and crashes into the back of Spiden at a tremendous speed. Spiden falls to the ground. Spiden stands back up dazed. With a slight movement of his hand, Luke uses the Force to send Spiden flying across the room. Spiden slams into a wall and is left unconscious. Luke thanks R2 for his valor, then Luke recovers his severed hand and then cuts the closed door open with his light saber . Luke, R2 and C-3PO exit the room. On Coruscant, a team of Jedi doctors re-attach Luke’s hand to his arm.

Luke learns that the Republic is planning to send a military unit to the planet where the Dark Jedi are cloning Vader and Luke. Luke orders the Jedi star pilots to scramble to their fighters and join the Republic forces in the fight. The Republic and Jedi star fighters arrive at the planet where the Dark Jedi cloning facility is located. Hundreds of Dark Jedi fighters are waiting for them. A massive space battle ensues.

If Disney really feels the need for "hurr durr muh new generation" then feel free to add a Resistance pilot like Poe to the proceedings. Maybe he meets Han on Maz's planet because Han can't figure out how to disable the tracker. And then he gets a bone for Rey setting up their eventual romantic relationship next time.

Luke and a dozen or so other Jedi make their way to the surface of the planet and enter the Dark Jedi cloning facility. Light saber battles erupt between the Jedi and the Dark Jedi. Luke finds the Dark Jedi leader, Shindor, and they engage in a light-saber duel. Luke eventually decapitates Shindor. The remaining Dark Jedi flee the cloning facility with the growing clones of Vader and Luke. The Jedi set explosive charges all over the cloning facility. The Jedi flee the cloning facility. A few minutes later, the cloning facility is destroyed by the exploding charges.

While the Dark Jedi cloning facility has been destroyed, the New Republic and Jedi are unaware that the Dark Jedi succeeded in preserving the growing clones of Vader and Luke, which will be utilized in the Dark Jedi's grand scheme to conquer the galaxy. Back on Coruscant, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker are brought before the Jedi Council. For their bravery in combating the Dark Jedi, the Jedi Council makes Anakin and Ben full-fledged Jedi Knights. The two are given their official Jedi robes. Fade to black. Roll end credits.

The opening crawl explains that the Rebellion restores the Republic and fights back the severely crippled Empire into the Outer Rim. Luke Skywalker is invited to restore the Jedi Order, and after scanning the galaxy for suitable pupils, the first generation of Jedi are enlisted by the republic to scour the Outer Rim and pacify the remnants of the Empire. It seems peace is at last restored to the galaxy....
>Opening shot is a new republic ship floating weightlessly through a deep-space cloud, symbolizing the new strength of the Republic and the ship's voyage into uncharted territory
>Focus is on a female republic trooper stationed on the ship. She is of meager rank, but it is revealed that she joined the mission in wanderlust and to escape the hellhole planet that see lived on
>She is especially curious about the Jedi aboard the ship, [Generic Star-Wars name]. Small in numbers, they are still myths to many citizens.
>Her and her normie friend are at post when they overhear plans to send an away mission to the nearest planet, Kratu-118. The Jedi feels the planet is significant, and the primitive civilization would not notice the ship stealing water. The officers who are discussing this mock the jedi's premonitions but agree that it would be a nice opportunity to stretch their legs, so to speak. One makes a passing remark that the captain denied the Jedi's request to raise shields and assume a battle position, citing it as a waste of power
>Outside shot. Dark ships descend through the cloud all around the ship. Cuts to operators in the ship panicking and alarms sounding as the ships begin to open fire.
>In the command room, the officers watch in horror as a massive, menacingly designed ship appears out of the cloud in front of them
>Jedi is the only one calm and manipulates the controls to turn
>Dark Ship rams the side of the Republic ship, the ship breaks through the cloud and gets pulled into Kratu-118's gravity. The Dark Ships recede into the space cloud.

Tense standoff between the new republic and empire. Both sides have multiple death star like weapons, cold war standoff.

Both sides search for force sensitives to bolster their armies. The old heroes of the republic and those of the empire are forced to reconcile their differences and fight together when a strange threat arises from the murky depths of history.

A fallen sith, with no goal but to bring death to the galaxy. No alliegences, no allies. In his heart is such a depth of hatred that he uses the force for unspeakable things. Not sure of where to really go from there, but eventually though the empire and republic can't reconcile, the heroes on both sides come together to stop Maul from causing an all out nuclear war between the two sides.

i thought it was interesting kylo ren was an edge lord that shot up his school. seemed relevant, taking a current 'villain' of the modern age and assigning it as a mythological sith.

only i thought he did it poorly.

i would build upon it more. why go halfway? make him taunted, make him a disappointment to his friends and family. make han embarrassed of him, and leia ashamed of him. make han the asshole we know he would be, gone for years at a time, fucking women on other planets, never there to actually beat some sense into him. make him more of a loser.

make it so he went to his school to die that day. the fuckup he was, expecting to get cut down by his classmates. but make it so all he finds are scared little kids, too afraid to know what to do, and luke gone.

show that he learned to appreciate the only time he could feel power was when he was killing people weaker than himself. people he made weak with fear. in a world without force users, even as a weak sith he dominates and slaughters others, slowly replacing his old identity with the masked sith he convinces himself he has become. only he knows nothing of the real dark side of the force, and has no talents outside of his hatred and fear.

make snoke a distant observer, not a master, who struggles to make some use of kylo ren as a pawn, who is unpredictable and self destructive to himself, the rebellion, and the empire itself.

the climax should be rey, having been trained by luke standing up to kylo. the first person to actually stand up to him in his whole life, who is actually as powerful as he is. have kylo truly experience frustration, confusion, even camaraderie to rey, someone he finally sees as an equal.

kylos death should be as pitiful as the life he lead, agonizing and slow. his last words to rey shouldn't be ones of apology, but of spite and faux-bravado that cover any semblance of what used to be a human heart. "where were you ten years ago? i should have died a long time ago."

The problem with the Starkiller base is that it didn't naturally fit into the story

In ANH all the events were related to Luke's character arc. He goes with Obi Wan to become a jedi, to become a force of good in the galaxy and stop the evil empire. All that is established early into the movie, and then by rescuing Leia he gets involved with the Rebellion and helps them stop the Death Star from blowing up the rebel base. All of the characters have a reason to show up during the movie to help stop the empire

In TFA everything is disconnected. The conflict with the Starkiller base is separate from what Rey goes through as the main character. The premise is the same: our protagonist has to take the droid back to the good guys because it's important to them so you inevitably expect them to get involved in the overall grander scale of the story. But throughout the movie Rey is constantly going on about how she just has to return home against her desires of going out and exploring the galaxy, much like Luke at the start of ANH. But this matter is only resolved 3/4ths into the movie and by that time it's too late for her to get really involved with the resistance.

Literally every other character has a clear motivation to fight against the first order except for Rey. The climax should've focused on Han and Finn going to rescue Rey with the help of Poe who provides some sort of distraction as he is in debt with Finn after all and seems to consider him a friend. They could've kept everything exactly the same way without needing to blow up the Starkiller base. Literally everything about it is tacked on just so that they could have an ending reminiscent of ANH

It's hilarious how people always bash the prequels for having complicated, unnecessary endings unrelated to the story but then TFA does the exact same shit. There is no reason for Starkiller to be a supersized Death Star (cont)
>>
>>64396263

There was no reason to have another "the Death Star will be ready to blow up the rebel base in X minutes" scene, it's just a literal copypaste of the ending of ANH because JJ didn't know how to make the ending exciting. It really could've just been a random important base and the resistance could've just been like "ok this is our chance to strike because Finn here has inside knowledge of the base so we can deliver a fatal blow to their forces". Then they could've still had Poe and the other X-Wing pilots do their thing and continue the story with Rey

But instead we get another fucking Death Star ending where the bad guys get blown up. I won't even get into how Rey has basically no character arc and every other character in the movie is far more interesting than her, but this is just part of what's wrong with the entire movie

i know its edgy but like, thats the character they were going for. this edgy so dark character, but if you're going to go into that territory why not go all the way?

its like, as a character he should be as cringeworthy and unlikeable as possible, because hes that kind of villain, the kind of villain who is hated by everyone, the good guys for being evil, the bad guys for being a little bitch, and himself because hes a fuck-up.

i respect JJ's idea that in of itself that, as opposed to these other siths who are strong, and in some cases almost perfect, you have this sith wannabe of a villain in a modern age where nothing is really as good as it used to be. like, a metaphor for the modern age itself.

i feel like if you cringe after looking at kylo, you're doing it right in terms of writing him.

the only problem with this is Luke being a main character. Even Lucas didn't have Luke as a main character in 7.

I like your ideas a lot

It really felt like he had absolutely no focus as a villain. He starts out as this dark really menacing figure very much akin to Vader. However we suddenly shift from that to someone who throws a bitch fit when something doesn't go the way he wants. It was even worse than any of the tantrums Anakin threw in the prequels, he literally starts smashing everything in the room like a child. I was expecting to get more Vader vibes from him, like "oh sir we got reports that the girl and the droid escaped the planet" and he just silently ignites his lightsaber and slashes down the officer. Instead he trashes the room like a baby and storms out

Then he takes off his mask and it's Anakin 2.0, with even more angst. So no longer is he a menacing villain, he's just an angsty kid playing at being a villain.

The focus is now on him being this wildly emotional character who aspires to be something he cannot be because he can't control himself. He's also clearly not up to the tasks he's given and he's a failure in everyone's eyes including himself.

He isn't even capable of displaying any great feats of power, he's just another angsty jedi gone rogue but lacking anything that truly makes him stand out. And Snoke is just some supposedly ominous figure behind it all, but even he feels like a weak individual and certainly not a powerful dark wizard and mastermind like Palpatine was.

The film starts with poe being captured by the first order a splinter group, thnking they are the real imperium, who tries to unify all splinter groups.

The worst part of the Starkiller plot is how it's 'Ohmygodno, we're BTFO out of nowhere', then 5 minutes later they've got a fucking technical diagram of it and worked out how to destroy it. It's like 'yeah, you know this plot, so let's just skip through it'.

i agree, and if the movie had felt like any of this was intentional, like it was a commentary on us as people, and how things change and sometimes aren't better than their originators, it would have been an interesting, albeit dangerous gambit of a plot for a blockbuster.

but like you said, it felt like they tried to impress these characters as equals, or as heroic or powerful as the other characters in the other movies, which kind of just cheapens them.

it could have been the story of a character born into an age of mediocrity, trying to learn from characters of a heroic age and finding that the more heroic she becomes, the less she fits into the modern age, learning the villain isnt so much the empire, but the complacency that luke and the rebels forced on the galaxy by crippling an empire, and never finishing it off, while touting it as a final victory, ushering in an age of stagnation, morally and practically.

and kylo could have been the symbol for the stagnation and futility of her time.

The weapon fascility is a half metal construction and ash/slag.
Han, chewie, rey, poe, r2d2 and bb8 pose as slave trader to infiltrate and hijacke the stardestroyer.
We learn that the first order use slaves for the fascility and darth Kylo, knight of ren, is sent there by the new imperator To capture rey, a possible strong force user because he set a trap to capture her. Thats why poe met han and helped that rey comes to the first order.
On the planet we see that captain phasma is guarding the planet with her special corps in which fin serves as trooper.

The main character is a small time bounty hunter (Oscar Isaac). He's chilling somewhere when a young Togruta girl tries to contract to help her leave the planet. Then there's trouble and he is the middle of a empire attack on the city, the antagonist sith (masked obviously) is looking for fugitive Togruta. After some tension and action they leave the planet on Isaac's ship.

The girl of course has no way paying Isaac, but says she has no way of paying, of course, so she tells he'll get his due if he helps her find master Luke Skywalker. After some backstory they decide to go to the jedi temple.

Meanwhile in the empire fleet, our sith antagonist is having a talk with the fleet admiral. They are reading the fleet for a major attack and talk of a prisoner and a rejected offer. The sith leaves, the force has given him a vision, there's somewhere he must go.

Back to the heroes, the planet is in ruins as expected, the temple occupied by the empire. The girl insists they get in to look for her master and fellow apprentices, they must be prisoners inside. After some time they find one of the other apprentices being hold on a cell. They get him out. After some trouble they leave the planet. Backstory time on the last thirty years. Their new friend says Luke has disappeared and the other apprentices who managed to escape are scattered, but they must hurry for Republic system, he overheard it's gonna be attacked soon, they must save them.

They get out of lightspeed in the middle of the empire invasion. Action space scene and the they manage to get to the senate planet. More action and they find President Leia. She says she wants to rescue Han, as he is being held hostage and she refused to trade him for the Republic surrender, only after she'll take them to Luke. They steal a empire ship and set to space.

They get in the flag ship, where Han is being held. Some sneaky shit happens and they rescue Han, Chewbaca is not with him.

I wish the whole Finn storyline would make sense.

I was kidnapped at a young age, and now at 25ish I get into my first firefight?
Oh and despite being brainwashed again after the firefight I am instantly adamant to betray everyone I knew for the past 2 decades.
Not to mention that I was trained as a plumber, and I get sent on a high priority mission with Kylo Ren.

This alone would make the movie 10 times better.

Han says he knows a way to destroy the ship and halt the empire invasion for a time. They get to the main reactor and before Han can set the controls to overheat a lightsaber pierces from his back. The other apprentice who was traveling with them was the sith antagonist the whole time, they did not get into the ship on their luck alone. He wanted to know where Luke is but is not willing to sacrifice the capital ship for it. He fights the togruta while stormtroopers flood the room. He defeats the girl and is about to kill Isaac, but he manages to summon her lightsaber and cut the sith's arm off. They choose to escape instead of finishing him off, Leia helping Han walk.

When they get to the ships Han says they'll never escape like that, he volunteers to stay and hold the stormtroopers off, but he can barely move, so Leia says she'll stay as well. She apologizes to the heros, she does not know where Luke is, she lied to them to save Han. She tells them look for her son, Ben, he will help them. Han and Leia stay and the heros get on a ship, Isaac knows a trick to escape the tracker beam. They go into lightspeed still inside the ship.

The ending is the two heros next to the crashed ship. The togruta says she'll train Isaac to be a jedi and they'll go after Ben, Luke and the other surviving apprentices.
