We get to see it once or twice in the movie, but it's mostly shrouded in shadow. We don't really get a good look, but his jaw's been fucked up like Two-Face in The Dark Knight, and the upper left part of his head bulges out weirdly.
The real reason we never get a good look at him is because the CGI probably looks like shit in the light, but in the darkness they're able to make it look passable.
TFA's CGI is weirdly shitty. Unkar Plutt and Maz Kanata looked good (though Maz was sabotaged by a kind of crappy design and the fact that the movie just doesn't give her anything to do), but the rathtars looked AWFUL, and Snoke looks like shitty mo-cap work.

well it's pretty much non-existent, which i don't really mind cause i always hated all that Old Republic bullshit.
The first media in the canon timeline is Episode I. So there is nothing actually depicting what's before that. Darth Bane is pretty much the only thing from that era confirmed canon. Darth Revan was supposed to appear in that Clone Wars episode as well (which would have make him canon, that would have been huge) but they didn't. I liked how The Clone Wars brought stuff from the EU to make it canon.
I hope they'll do the same with Rebels, would be rad. I wish we could get an alternate watered down Starkiller from The Force Unleashed, i really don't like the games at all but that'd be fun
