it comes across almost as a parody of tim and eric.
I assume it gets in cause sometimes it seems like they throw in a few 'weird and creepy' sketches that lack humour and are just meant to be 'fucked up' for their stoner crowd.
in a way, it almost resembles the bedtime stories and stuff they are doing presently, which I also think isn't very good, but I can see how some might like it.

The point is you can derive comedy from discomfort. You might not be having a hearty laugh, but an uncomfortable one, and this is all completely intentional.

I don't think it's aged poorly, it's just that other comedians took their style and expanded on it in ways that make it almost look like a parody of itself in comparison sometimes. Eagleheart, Nathan For You are both great examples of this. I'm not as big a fan but The Eric Andre Show is almost a complete continuation of the awesome show aesthetic.
