Never seen a single film by this guy.
Where do I start?
>>64342096
he's overrated pleb shit, don't
Rear Window
he made good flicks
>>64342096
Rope. the movies he did in the 30's are pretty rough and all he does is remake them later anyway
>>64342096
RIP in pizzas Hammond of Texas.
Why do people ask this? Just go through their filmography on IMDb and begin with where there's universal praise for the film.
>>64342096
My favorite is Vertigo, but that movie is somewhat of a slow burn.
>>64342096
Alfred Hitchcock hour
Then Rear Window
Vertigo
And then somewhere down the line The Birds
I wouldn't recommend it to start, but for the love of god don't skip The Lodger.
Rear Window you have to watch. My family watched that on my recommendation a while ago and they don't know shit about movies but were enraptured by Rear Window. It's one of their favorite movies now.

IMDb users are plebs though, same with reddit, or any other sites on the internet. only /tv/ users are patricians. it's better to ask recommendations from patricians.
north by northwest is a good pilme
>>64342331
>implying this shit here is not plebian as fuck
Rear Window, Vertigo, Rope, North by Northwest, and Dial M for Murder
Rear Window and North by Northwest
those are also his only good films so you might as well stop there
Vertigo, Rear Window, Psycho, North by Northwest, The Birds, The 39 Steps, and Rebecca are all good primers.
This guy's performance in Strangers on a Train was great, it's a shame that he died shortly after it released
>>64342688
Did you know he died because he became a raging alcoholic after his wife cucked him with David O. Selznick and took his kids?
Never trust a cunt.
>>64342620
the amount of fapping i got done during the birds is criminal
Vertigo is probably his best, but it's slower and less accessible. Psycho, North by Northwest, Rear Window, and Strangers on a Train are all great. If you don't mind older movies, see Notorious and Rebecca.
>>64342331
holy shit hope you don't seriously believe that
there are more imdb users who've watched and loved stuffs like The Human Condition than there are faggots who've even heard of it on here
>>64342096
>foreboding simple first half
>darkly atmospheric balls to the wall second half
>open ending
Notorious, Psycho, North by Northwest, Rear Window, Vertigo, The Birds, yadda yadda yadda you could've looked this shit yourself OP.
>>64342885
To expand, it's just Hitchcock, not rocket science brah.

Pretty good list. I'd bump Notorious and Strangers on a Train up a spot though. I also really like Dial M for Murder.
>>64343095
I just found Dial M for Murder mostly tedious and stagy tee bee h
>>64343427
It was stagey, but I thought the suspense was really well done.
Shadow of a doubt
The 39 steps
The man who knew too much, remake
