Film is a whole median of entertainment. You can say the action genre is dead and may have a point although I would just point to foreign action movies if you want something that isn't franchise-action.

the incredibles was an awesome movie and i for one want more and it has been a while since the original, so it's not like disney is just shitting out a sequel.
