Is Psych objectively the best comedy of the late 2000s?
>>64298304
one of the best mang
Top 10 at least
Can't wait to rewatch it in a few years
>>64298304
Fuck. Dammit, OP. Thanks for reminding me how much I miss this show.
Psych/Monk crossover movie when?
>>64299933
a psych/monk reunion crossover would be GOAT
>>64299933

Definitely in the top 5. Such a comfy show. I'm in love with Jules.
>>64300036
god i wish usa was still making shows as good as psych and monk
what's the best thing they've got now? fucking suits? jesus christ
>>64298304
Top 3. Probably #1. Hope they eventually make a movie
>>64300560
Yeah, I haven't tuned into their channel since Psych ended.
>>64300560
Fight Club Hackers is pretty good.
One of my favorites. I remember when /tv/ used to shit on this and other comfy USA shows. I would get quite triggered
i genuinely don't understand how people think this show is funny? this or community
>>64300823
Have you tested yourself for autism yet friend?
Psych was top comfy.
Always felt like a guilty pleasure tho I didnt think it would get much love here
>>64298304
No. It's an above average sitcom but not the best comedy show of that time.
>>64298304
If you're easily amused, sure. I don't think anything USA's ever aired was good, though. All their shows have something that feels off to them that drives me away.
>>64300991
You didn't even like Burn Notice?
>>64298304
super rewatchable too
>>64298304
Nah. 30 Rock was better.
Hell Fucking Yes.
>>64301084
Pushing Daisies > Psych > 30 rock
Fuck you.
>other people like Psych
>and they arent late 30s housewives
this thread makes me so happy
>>64301035
Burn Notice was the epitome of that off feeling for me tbqh family. Me and another anon came to the conclusion in another USA thread a while back that while most of their shows have the same elements that other similar shows on different networks have, they're just a little lazier done, like some kind of store brand television.
>>64301173
As someone who watched and at first liked all those shows.
No.
Psych for example turned to shit far worse than 30 Rock did
>>64301212
Psych was top tier comfy. I still find myself singing the theme song in my head pretty often.
Psych is fucking great, not entirely sure why but it kinda reminded me of Scooby-Doo.
Was sad to see it go, now I'm watching iZombie as a replacement.
IN BETWEEN THE LINES THERES A LOT OF OBSCURITY...
>>64301273
I describe izombie to people as "Psych, except if instead of being good at noticing things Shawn was a zombie"
>>64301213
c'mon son
>>64301310
...IM NOT INCLINED TO RESIGN TO MATURITY.. .
>>64300708
>actually basing their hacker group on anonymous
Fuck no.
>tfw pluto
>>64301543
Thats messed up
It's far too saccharine to enjoy more than one episode at a time.
>>64301756
>2016 - 1 day
>Not binging entire series in the period of a couple weeks.
>>64301433
It's like they go out of their way to make everything as bland and basic as humanly possible to pander to suburban moms. I don't get it.Nice dubs.
>>64301851
>binge watch an entire series in a couple of weeks
>left with an empty feeling after watching an enjoyable show
truly the worst feeling
>>64301958
This is why you just go right to a new show after you finish one. That way you never have that empty feeling.
>>64301873
>>64301213
>>64300991
I agree with this. They all have the same feel.
>>64301975
but the time inbetween the ending of a show and looking for a new worthwhile show is the worst
what if the new show you find sucks and you stop watching after two episodes?
>>64300965
Name then best then.
>>64302003
Never takes me more than a few hours to find a new one.
>>64302008
Are you actually serious?
>>64302071
not for me man, I gotta watch a show with a cool ass dude, if the main character looks/acts like some sort of fruit I cant watch it
You know that's right OP.
>>64302109
Why not? we're evaluating the best show, so what is your contribution?
>>64302176
I don't know if anyone would ever be able to agree on a number one objective best, since humor is subjective, but I'd submit It's Always Sunny or multiple adult swim shows from the time period into that conversation waaaaaay before I would Psych.
>>64302322
>adult swim
Like, maybe if you're a teenager I suppose.
>>64301958
I just binge watch it over again
a good show is usually good for four or five watchthroughs before it gets boring
>>64302363
>USA
Like if you're a suburban housewife, maybe.
See? We can both make fun of each other on the internet.
>>64300441
Literally this. It is such a comfy show. The characters are actually likable which is key in a procedural. It is also very funny. It is a great show to go back to.
>>64302422
shut up you flaming homo faggot nerd
>>64300560
Suits went to shit quick. The channel hasn't been the same since Psych and Monk ended. I didnt watch Burn Notice but that ended around the same time as Psych and signified a shift. They do currently have Mr. Robot which redditors swear by and try to spread like its Gospel but I lost interest by episode 3. Maybe I will pick it up again.
>>64302422
Eh not really making fun of. Adult swim is really basic, awful humor that's mainly shock. I'd say housewives+USA is not as true as adult swim shows being shit for 18 year olds and younger.
>>64302536
>I lost interest by episode 3
Same basically, i just couldn't make myself give a shit
>>64302536
>>64302591
>episode 3
Huh, same here.
>>64302458
>The characters are actually likable
I like how even Lasseter the angry jackass character still has good points and gets good episodes and things
Best character is Chief Vick though
>>64302656
Nah man Lassie is the best.
>>64302696
get out of here you fucking pufferfish mouthbreathing scum
>>64302556
>absurdism and not playing everything as safe as possible is automatically for teenagers and not a matter of preference
I'd argue that shows The Boondocks or Check It Out are a hell of a lot funnier than Psych any day of the week.
>>64302696
>watched psych and loved it
>watching Supernatural
>suddenly Lassie
he looked badass as all fuck in supernatural
>like Psych
>dislike all of the psychic elements to it
I found it more clever than funny, but the easy to solve mysteries and back and forth kept me watching.
>>64298304
Yes.
