CAMERON ON SUICIDE WATCH.
>>
This is the definition of clickbait

News Years Eve is tomorrow. So it's gonna make $158 million by tomorrow? Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.

It's safe to say that JW will be 2015's #1 movie at the box office.

The real article since OP is a massive faggot:

OP here, may be more than 24 hours for some, here it's already 31st.

The weekend is January 2. Keep your heads up.

The Hateful Dingus will deny TFA another huge weekend. Sorry TFA shills, your time has come to an end.

OK, shills. Let's break it down.

Star Wars is at about $1.2 billion. Avatar made $2.7 billion. Are you telling me the movie is going to suddenly make $1.5 billion in the next day?

TFA is super close to overtaking Jurassic World and it hasn't even opened up everywhere in the world yet
>>
>>64292509
That still doesn't make sense. It took 12 days to reach $1 billion. Why would it suddenly make an additional $1.5 billion in only 2 days?
>>
>>64292663
because collectively they're all retarded, that's why.
>>
OP aside, is anyone actually shocked this flick is making a ton of money?
>>
>>64292699
because TFA fans are a delusional bunch
>>
>>64292762
>OP aside, is anyone actually shocked this flick is making a ton of money?
No. It's all hype driven started when Disney paid George Lucas over 4 billion shekels back in 2012.

>>64292566
>TFA is super close to overtaking Jurassic World
It's not going to make $58 million in one day, anon. It's over. JW wins 2015.

>and it hasn't even opened up everywhere in the world yet
It won't make any difference and it won't beat Avatar.
>>
It's likely it'll happen domestically. World wide though? no way jose

At least, not until it gets a boost from the Chinese market
>>
>>64292864
>World wide though? no way jose
>At least, not until it gets a boost from the Chinese market
It's impossible to beat Avatar with its even domestic and international split and sinking international earnings. I don't know why many are in denial about this. It won't happen.
>>
>>64292843
>the weekdays this week have been doing close to $30mil each
>foreign dropping off slightly or matching it

Really faggot?
>two days left and the results for Thursday won't be received later Friday in the new year

Get your ass ready for Star Wars to be the top movie of 2015 and 2016

That's not how it works bruv.
>>
I'm guessing they mean domestically? Star Wars is sitting on a 50/50 split while Avatar earned over 70% internationally. Good luck.
>>
>>64292799
i agree with you, strongly.
>>
>>64292843
Who gives a shit if TFA doesn't overtake JW in 2015? TFA's release will be split between 2 calendar years. JW's release was entirely within 2015. TFA released with only 2 weeks left in the year.

Probably because TFA hasn't released in China yet. Let's see how the numbers look once January 9 comes around.

It's never going to bet Avatar because of the fact that Avatar was re-released in cinemas the same year for an extended run, and it had the benefit of double priced tickets due to the 3D meme.

Avatar's success was not impressive - Titanic was impressive, but Avatar had a fucking re-release and was in cinemas for something like 12+ months total. which they count every dime of.

You all seem to forget this.
>>
>>64293816
Are you suggesting Star Wars isn't benefiting from inflation and IMAX prices?
>>
>>64291990
popular =/= good
>>
>>64293419
>>64293425

>disney shills

The only people that care about this are the people who DON'T want star wars to win

aka the opposite of disney shills
>>
>>64293905
It's definitely not benefiting from IMAX anywhere even remotely to the same degree Avatar did.

That is unquestionable. As for inflation, I couldn't tell you since I don't know the difference between now and 2009, but I can tell you it wouldn't outweigh the benefit of Avatar have a 12 month+ cinema run at higher ticket prices.
>>
>>64294223
Avatar was in theaters for 238 days. So I'm not sure where you're getting 12+ months from.
>>
>>64293905
Certainly not on the same scale of avatar

>>64294262
That's still notably longer than most films

Jewish art might be clever and skillful, but can be put together by the artist only at the level of his conscious mind in imitation of what he finds going on around him, or in imitative continuation of a tradition that was quite different from his own. As a result, Jewish art is characterized inevitably by imitativeness above all, and therefore by shallowness and superficiality.

It was only during the Napoleonic Wars that the ghettos of Europe had begun to be opened and Jews to move freely in the host society around them. This liberation and assimilation was a slow and continuing process. So Jews are outsiders still, and very obviously so: they look different, and they speak with foreign accents. All this means, that if some of these newly emancipated Jews become creative artists in their host society the most they can hope to do is imitate its art. Through no fault of their own, and regardless of their personal talents, there can be no unconscious depths to what they do.

I just saw a post that Donnie Yen's Ip Man 3 took the highest ever takings in China and knocking Star Wars to second place lol

Its over nothing to see here

HOW??

I personally loved TFA, but there's no fucking chance in hell I'd go pay to see it 9 fucking times.

international earnings split is going back up though, because the accurate figures are finally coming in (international reporting takes longer than domestic)

it also has, at minimum, 3 more months in cinemas

Avatar made 750 mill domestic, 2 billion foreign.

Star wars episode 4 cuck edition has made 600 mill domestic so far and 600 foreign.

The movie doesn;t have enough foreign appeal to break avatar.

Even if it ends up making 900 million domestic (it won't ) it clearly does not have enough foreign appeal to topple Avatar

Get real, kids.
Only James Cameron can beat James Cameron
