I don't think police officers are great by any means, but motivation to set up Avery due to the lawsuit is kinda laughable. The lawsuit would have taken from state funds, not county funds. The state had investigated the county and cleared it already. I think a lot of people in this thread are forgetting the most important part of the justice system. You must prove, BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT, that the defendant committed the crime.
