Some of the plot ideas; I liked the idea of Sheev manipulating both sides in the Clone Wars to consolidate his power. Think it could have been executed better, though I think that's the problem with the prequels; they had good ideas just how they were portrayed/ acted was very bad.

I also liked the design of the battle droids...

>>64286614
why would the droids need a command hierarchy

The Jedi were relics of the past and obstructing the legal authority of the republic.

The fact that the Jedis were falling out of touch with the world, is evidenced when George showed us in AOTC, the Jedi thought they could force an entire war from starting by just arriving.

The fact that the Jedi try and arrest(and murder a surrendering Sheev), shows the Jedi order was rotten at the core.

Slaughtering ANYONE is generally considered a dick move. And using "dey wuz evil" as justification is pretty fucked in the head as well.

When he kills the Sand People, he at least has a motivation you can understand. And even though the whole point is that it shows him crossing the line, you understand WHY he did it.

When he slices small children into pieces. And he is. He's cutting them in half, and because the light saber cauterizes the wounds, the probably didn't die right away. They were rolling on the floor screaming in pain, clutching at anything and pleading with it to let this all be a bad dream. So while this fucking horror show is going on, and the room smells like burnt youngling, not a single one of them did anything near as bad as raping and torturing his mother.

He did it because he had a dream about pandabear crying, doesn't understand how visions of the future work (despite yoda explicitly spelling it out for him that visions of the future are tricky as fuck, and dangerous to toy with), and then on a lark decides to murder to betray everything he has ever held important because he fell for the most obvious fucking bait in the universe.

Anakin Skywalker everyone. It's not a tragic rise and fall of a jedi, it's a farce. It's literally a comedy of errors.

Actually I don't know

It's not like I can read inside Lucas' twisted mind

I can guess tho

He basically became evil because
1. He wanted to save his waifu and Sheev told him he could
2. He was tired of the republic not acting and wanted a strong government that would take actions
3. He's a fucking retard and saw Dindu about to execute the evil sith lord responsible for the war in the galaxy so of course he saved him

So that would make the jedi evil for..huh.. not immediately going to war and slaughtering the CIS scum, not letting him be with his waifu and trying to execute his pedo sith lord

He had that Pussy, and if the Jedi temple, literally overflowing with intuitive empaths, can't figure out where you're sleeping at night, then literally who do you have to worry about discovering the truth? What is the worst thing that could happen? He gets kicked out of the jedi order? That sure didn't seem to slow him down when he started murdering jedi.

Good:

Sheev's scheme as a whole
In fact, everything Sheev, not even memeing
Order 66 scene
Sheev/Anakin dynamic in RotS, especially the opera scene
Ewan McGregor
Genosis battle was cool
The score was great
Yoda vs Sheev spinning duel
New planets looked cool

Bad:

A lot of the CGI didn't age well
A lot of bad actors
Underused villains
Dooku didn't feel like a villain. Not trying to be a contrarian edgy faggot, he simply seemed to be more in the right than the jedi order desu.
Terrible scripts
Jar Jar
Le funny droids

Mixed:

Duel scenes. Some were good, some were overchoreographed. While most still were better choreographed than the OT, they just couldn't capture the same emotion as the OT fights, despite all that great music.

Hayden. With a better script and more competent directing, he could easily have been a good Anakin. Had his glimpses in RotS, fucking atrocious in Clones, but I feel it wasn't really his fault.

Costumes and character designs. Mostly cool, but some were horrible.

Nah, Ian and Ewan are great but Lee was really wasted. Dooku is great int he EU, a prodigal Jedi and the last padawan of Yoda, master of Qui-Gon, who left the order because he disagreed with them and then later became a sith lord.

in the movies though, he's just someone to clash sabers with anakin and obi-wan

>Get only about 20-30 minutes of him at the end of Ep 2
>Get 5 minutes in Ep 3 at the beginning

If Lucas had him introduced in Ep 1, or kept Maul for 2 and 3, that would have been better and made the Ep 3 fight higher stakes.

As it is, we got a guy we barely knew who gets whacked off in the first bit of Ep 3, followed by an asthmatic droid general.

The Prequel Trilogy was basically one Sith disappointment after the other

I always felt that Plagueis was real, but that Sidious never intended to give Anakin the secret to help padme whether he really knew it or not. Its really implied even in that scene that Palpatine was the apprentice of Plagueis.
>>
>>64287696
That was the idea.
I wish the Prequels did more of fleshing out how unprepared Obi-Wan was to train Anakin.
I mean he was suppose to be a mentor and a father figure, but they instead ended up being like brothers and good friends to each other.
And part of it was because of how young Obi-Wan was when he got saddled with Anakin, and how soon it was after he became a Jedi Knight.

I really wish the prequels delved into that dynamic more, because it would make sense why Anakin was improperly trained to deal with things like temptation and the Dark Side.

George Lucas explained many times that young Anakin Skywalker would win the podrace, but McGregor wagered his entire fee for the film on the character Sebulba. "That little flying Jew told me that Sebulba always wins," he later explained to Esquire magazine. "Anakin only looked about 10 - how the fuck did he beat him?"

>Following the climatic duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jim against Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, McGregor spiraled into a deep state of mourning over the death of his co-star Liam Neeson. George Lucas explained many times that Neeson was in fact alive and his demisse was entirely fictional, but McGregor was unconvinced, spending many days locked in his trailer. When Lucas called for Neeson to visit him in order to prove he was alive, McGregor chased after him with a torch, intending on giving him a viking funeral. Onlookers claimed McGregor was certain this would exorcise the Sith ghosts that were surely possessing Neeson's corpse.

>After watching the premier of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, actor Ewan McGregor assaulted fellow co-star Hayden Christensen, screaming "HOW COULD YOU DO IT, ANAKIN, THEY WERE CHILDREN!" Later on he repeatedly made phone calls to the Los Angeles police department offering information in the unlawful execution of one Count Dooku (a character portrayed in the series by veteran actor Christopher Lee) in exchange for an investigation of actor Ian McDiarmand, whom he volunteered to apprehend himself saying "He's a Sith Lord! It's right there on film, George caught him! Chancellor Palpatine is evil!" McGregor, who portrays the character Obi-Wan Kenobi was arrested outside McDiarmand's London estate two weeks later after breaking and entering the main house and bludgeoning the elderly stage actor with a toy lightsaber. He was charged with unlawful conduct and sentenced to three weeks on house arrest. When reached for comment, Ewan apologized and said simply "I keep getting carried away."

The first four things you mentioned and Natalie's outfits in two are the only good things. Everything else you mentioned and everything else in those movies are shit.

I know right? That fan service...
>tutorial campaign is about Qui-gonn teaching Chewbacca about building a colony, then meeting resistance from the Trade Federation
>Trade Federation campaign is about knocking out Naboo's communications and countryside before taking over the capital, then hunting and destroying the Gungans' home
>Rebel Alliance campaign is about Leia meeting a Jedi named Echuu then in the expansion pack the Republic campaign is about Echuu tracking and fighting the Sith from the Confederacy campaign

And all those What-If? bonus missions:
>Battle of Grassy Plains where you play as the droids and have to kill destroy the Gungan army including Jar Jar and Nass, also Darth Maul shows up announcing he killed Qui-gonn and Obi-wan
