I didn't like it that much. It's better than Peter Kay's other stuff, but I think adapting the same ideas into a regular sitcom with two other writers made it far better.
Peter Kay relies far too much on meme humour. He's a good character actor, but the jokes often boil down to "it's a catchphrase, therefore it's funny."

Back in the 70s-late 80s. Hey I was born in London, married to a Japanese, best man at the wedding was Chinese, best friend is half Jamaican, half Egyptian. I don't consider myself racist at all, but fuck me the asians up North all seemed to have a major fucking chip on their shoulder and no desire whatsoever to integrate.
