>Average movies
Try again faggots.
>>64276294
I thought the beginning and confession scene were phenomenal too. Hardly an average movie
>>64276294
You guys are such pussies. It's a great fucking movie, just admit you liked it. Just because it has a high IMDB rating and plebs like it too, you're all afraid of getting mocked by the "patrician police" if you admit it's one of the best American films of the last decade
>tfw it really has been almost 10 years
>>64276026
It's far from average, I give it an 8/10. It may be imdbcore, but it's still a pretty great movie, with amazing acting from the whole cast and a competent direction. I'll give it to you, the ending is quite patrician, and the finest part of the movie.
OP's may be debatable, but this is one of the most boring movies with great endings
>>64276801
NCFOM is way better.
Funny, because that's a God-tier movie with a shitty ending.
That movie is fantastic though. I didn't buy into the hype, but I was hooked after the first time I saw it.
>>64276985
NCFOM is great, TWBB is great, they both had very different goals. At that point, I don't think it's even worthwhile to pit one against the other and say "this one sucks because the other one is better." I just wish we had more films being made on this level, period.

This one.
Actually I thought this ending was a little subpar than that of the original
The Lion King.
Dunno how many have seen this, but this is the first thing that came to mind. The movie is kind of slow and predictable, but that fucking ending just comes right out of left field, and gives new meaning to everything that took place before it. Really stuck with me, I think this is a real classic that rarely seems to be recognized as such. Pretty much on par with something like "Taxi Driver"
the Wahlberg remake is straight trash though
>>64278461
>Taxi Driver
honestly, the ending of TD was above average but not GOD tier.
The Usual Suspects
>>64280146
This is the opposite. I like the movie, but it kind of just fizzles out by the end. The filmmaker's message was pretty much clear when Gosling stomped the dude's head, and Carey Mulligan backed out of the elevator. Everything after that was just tying up plot threads
Cinema Paradiso
>>64281033
The fact that he survived BUT lost his "life" was better than that.
>>64276985
>people still think you can't enjoy both No Country and Blood and it has to be a contest
Sleepaway Camp
>>64276892
FUCK YOU
>>64282201
That was pretty much clear when she backed away, and the elevator doors closed leaving Gosling inside with the dead guy. In order to save her, he had to sacrifice any chance of having a relationship with her, by showing his violent autistic rage-child side

>This delusion
It aged terribly.

She still looked for him though.

That was a good movie UNTIL the ending, which sucks.
>>64283504
>GOD tier ending
That was a shit movie with a shit ending.
>>64283504
>In case you didn't get it the first 25 times we flat-out told you what our movie is about, this is what our movie is about
Not for me, man. And it was a weird misfire because Andrew Dominik's first two films were so fucking good
>>64282315
Holy shit fuck off you kneejerker, 2001 is great in Score, Visuals, and the Ending especially but the movie isn't a "deep artform" in story only in Score, Visuals, and Ending as I said.
>>64283728
>In case you didn't get it the first 25 times we flat-out told you what our movie is about
is it about george bush please?
>>64282284
>tfw this is what turned you gay
By today standards it's average but the ending is still great.
>>64276985
I thought the ending was near perfect.

This.

yeh, cos films are getting better, just look at the new star wars and audiences are more sophisticated.
