So... Best series of the year?
>>64266923
I really liked it, but fuck no. Not even close.
>>64266923
Nope, it's too inconsitent in it's subject matter. Alfred is cleary supposed to be the main character of the show, but most of the time it's about some generic protagonist and his stupid adventures. Albeit he's not a nice guy with modern day morals, nor an "anti-hero", he's still pretty bland.
Btw, the best series of the year is Wolf Hall.
>>64266923
thats not Fargo
or Ash vs Evil dead
or Black Sails
>>64266923
>>64267075
It's not even Game of thrones
I'm betting on two seasons no more.
>>64266923
Is that the series where medieval Brits are all gay, Jew, or black?
>>64266923
Alfred is the only character that's not awful
>>64267226
There is only white people, it's disgusting.
>>64266923
Too much pretty boy, might as well have been produced by mtv
>>64267226
No, that's The Bastard Executioner.
>>64267049
>Wolf Hall
explain why its the best looks like a generic period drama like tudors. having said that im downloading the first couple episodes as we speak. but please go on.
>>64266923
sopranos was mine. i watched it for the first time this year so it counts. was amazing.
>>64267049
>Wolf Hall
my nigger
>>64267371
>generic period drama like tudors
Its better than the tudors. But still in the same ballpark of quality.
>>64267371
It's a nuanced political drama with a revisionist history flavor. Mark Rylance's acting is superb.
>>64266923
I'm sick of producers having a hardon for vikings desu, least interesting people in history
>>64267677
They are muslim tier, but everything historical is apreciated
>>64267748
>historical
what setting would be good for a historical drama which hasn't been done before?i'm thinking late roman empire as the western roman empire struggles to keep its shit together as it all unravels
>>64268227
crusades but too many muslims would get butthurt
>>64268227
Northern Crusades
>>64268227
The fall of Byzantine Empire
>>64268227
Something non-european
>>64266923
No, but it was good
Was this the best year in BBC television? So much good shit.
>>64266923
GoT: fantasy edition
>>64268227
Early middle ages, anywhere east of today's Germany.
>>64268227
native american, either 1600s and watching white men slowly steal land or 1800s dealing with indian removal
>>64269158
This.
I mean sure, yeah, if want intrigue, I guess Western Europe shit is better.
But fuck me, I love that action between the Slavs and the Ottomans.
>mfw nobody's done a movie about the real dracula
