I got to read the script for episode 8 this week.

Basically:
>ep 8 starts off with three plots:
1. Rey is training with Luke, but then the bad guys invade his planet
2. Finn, C3PO and Chewie are searching for Kylo Ren, to kick his ass for being a bad guy
3. General Hux grows disillusioned with the order. He eventually joins the resistance
>rey and hux meet up and travel back to the resistance base. When they arrive, the bad guys have already been there and everything is burned down
>finn, C3PO and chewie are led to some planet named Hytel. They find Snoke in a deep cavern. He is really tiny, surprisingly enough.
>Snoke's cavern is a trap. It is revealed that C3PO was "hacked" with information, to lead them to him

Why would anyone allow Hux into the Resistance when he is personally responsible for giving the order to fire the Starkiller and destroy the Hosnian system, killing potentially over a trillion sapient beings?
For perspective, that is more than all of the human lives that have existed on our planet for all of human history. There is no forgiveness for something like that.
