Because innaruto is a hack. Revenant confirmed it. In fact it made me retroactively dislike Birdman because all of the criticisms I ignored in favor giving him the benefit of the doubt I realize now are true. He actually IS pretentious. He uses gimmicks in lieu of actual content. He drives his actors to carry his film rather than develop their characters through cinematic methods. I'm off the hype train. He had his year of respect.
