I don't think he was a good choice for Kylo Ren. He's not intimidating and doesn't have that big, imposing presence that a dark sider jedi dictator should have (though maybe that was intentional, I do feel like they're trying to humanize the Empire more with the new films and making Kylo less threatening and more conflicted is an interesting choice). He would've been better in a supporting role, like a rebel.

It seems like I suffered a mild stroke in the middle of that. It could've been the most interesting part of the movie but they just blazed through it. MaybeHarrison Ford wanted out of any future obligations so they rushed through it so he wouldn't have to come back in the next filmbut I don't know. I just feel like the writing was a little sloppy and Driver as Kylo just didn't really work for me.

Finn was incredibly likable. Plus we already had Han die 2 minutes before the fight. Killing Finn right after would take the impact away from Han's death a fair bit. If Finn died I'm sure the audience would hate Kylo and not be able to sympathize with his character in future films.
