Gollum moved too much, he had to be CGI to be realistic. Maz could have easily been a puppet as her only important role was at the table, which could of been a forced perspective shot. Just leave out the basement bit and luke's saber all together.
All she had to say was that the lightsaber was recovered from Bespin and I would have been ok with it, but they went the 'story for another time' bullshit

For two, the first one has more emotional and story importance, since it belonged to Anakin (as a Jedi and as a Sith, however briefly) and Luke both, so it's seen some shit. It's seen heroics, but also the murder of innocent children, the duels on Mustafar and Bespin..

All the Sith are dead at the end of RotJ - so Ren and possibly Snoke would have to search the galaxy for clues, relics, and information about the Dark Side and the Sith if they wanted to learn about the dark side. Kylo also has a personal connection to Vader, so he would have double reason to seek him out.
