Star Wars Anthology: Kenobi
McGregor as Obi Wan obviously.
An infant Luke Skywalker is saught after by the crime community after tatooine crime lords find out there is "more to the child than what appears at first glance". Jabba the Hutt, recognizing the name "Skywalker" from the clone wars sends out a ruthless bounty hunter (original character) to find and capture the young Jedi.
The now "Ben Kenobi" has to go on a quest across tatooine to find and return Skywalker to a distressed and guilty Uncle Owen (who blames Kenobi for allowing Luke to be captured in the first place out of neglegence).
Along the way Ben must learn to put the past behind him. He struggles with an identity crisis on account of recently changing his name and losing his padawan which he partially blames himself for.
The movie will have heavy references to The Clone Wars tv series. Callbacks to the Dutchess of Mandalore and possible cameos from Cad Bane and MAYBE Ahsoka Tano, who at this point is also in hiding.
Use picture related as reference of how Kenobi should look.
Also, keep it a single movie. An entire trilogy would be overkill.

I think this could deserve a movie of its own, the transition between how Kenobi transitioned between his very intrigued and discontent temperament in the prequels to his sagely and serene personality in Ben could make for a great story if done right

This. The rebels are actually pretty savvy when it comes to their information gathering - for instance, Leia knew right away that they were allowed to escape the Death Star, and so the Rebels scrambled to analyze the data on R2D2; they knew they had little time.
If the Bothans got the information too easily, they'd have known it was a trap - even as it was, they were suspicious, but it was too juicy a target.

I want it to view somewhere between a heist movie and a suicide mission - like Ocean's Eleven meets Armageddon, but less shit than either of those movies.
I'd like to see an anthology movie entirely separate from any character we've been introduced to. No force powers, just a story set somewhere between the main Republic planets and the Outer Rim. Obviously I'm not saying I want to just watch a boring movie about nothing really happening, but I'd like to see how the Average Joe goes about within this universe. For excitement's sake, make him a police officer or something, I don't fucking know.
