Never has storm trooper been better. He is like made for the iconic role, greatly outpassing Morrison as the number one trooper in the series.
He is intelligent, beautiful and charismatic everyday man, with interesting personality. His passion gives comfort to the cold world of black&white and contrasts the past films for being too white oriented with their writing.
His acting tucks our hearth strings and makes us giggle with his optimism even in the face of danger. He is perfectly paired with Rey and Poe, leaving us wonder where this series will take us.

That part where he used Rey's head for support as he looked up at Han's ship was the best part of the movie. Little moments like that brought the movie from "mediocre" to "okay". It was very human.

Only other movie i saw him in was attack the block.
I thought he did well in both. His character was pretty dumb (why the fuck would they send sanitation specialists to cull villages) plus if a nigga was brainwashed since birth there would not be good in him but i expected some serious niggetry from him and escape in a tie scene was the only time it started showing.

Pretty bad, mostly the writers fault though. Both him and Rey are not even close to the likability of the original trilogy characters. Finn's character's backstory is completely unbelievable. They should have made a different backstory for him. After seeing this one I'm not optimistic for the movies when the new characters aren't carried by the old ones anymore.

I only watched the movie and I felt like he is just a pawn of the force, doing what the Light wants them to do even if they don't want to do it.
That moment when he suddenly stops acting like your average Stormtrooper in the village made me feel like the force was doing something to him rather than him actually realizing something on his own.
I think this movie is better understood if you consider Finn and Rey as pawns of the Light side of the force, while Kylo Ren is just a pawn of the Dark Side. Trying to see them as actual characters would be both contradictory and boring.
