Not really upset. There were like 10 decent book arcs with maybe 3 being written well. The EU was a clusterfuck and it's not like they erased it. It's just a separate universe now. It was never even unified into one canon. I'm kinda glad the endless debate over what is and isn't canon is over. Anyway, I stopped reading the books a long time ago.

It was never officially canon is what I'm saying. There was clearly a story line. Disney threw it out and established the first official canon. George always considered the books and movies separate universes. Disney is making sure nothing contradicts each other. I think it was a smart move to get newcomers on board.
