>want to buy some wrestling tapes from the 80s & 90s
>they're all $25-$80
Why is this allowed? Was NONE of this stuff ever reprinted?

Rights issues I assume. That shit shows up on the wwe network doesn't it?
the internets first uses were porn and trading wrestling tapes, and now you are going to pay the price for your ignorance while everyone else has their tapes

I'm talking about expensive tapes in general. It's pretty funny what some people are willing to pay for certain movies.
>TFW I have to pay $60 just to get off to a VHS tape of heather locklear because nothing else does it for me anymore
I do a lot of VHS trading and buying, and it's mostly because of either the rarity of specific tapes or because they never made it to DVD. In the case of wrestling I'm assuming it's because at the time most people recorded it off of TV instead of paying $20 for a tape at the time, so the VHS tapes never sold and became a rarity. Same with Body Language, as far as I know that's a direct to TV that never made it to DVD.

Why not just get the world wrestling entertainment network?

The fact that there is a secondhand market for porno tapes is both disgusting & fascinating to me.
Now horror movies, sweet jesus are some of those expensive on VHS.

Mostly just trying to relive some of my childhood now that I have the money & freetime to do it. Parents sold off most of the stuff I want when I moved out. wanted to relive those tapes, but they all go for a premium now.

This, it's because (in Florida at least) the horror market and the VHS market are practically the same thing. Horror and Disney are the only things that sell.
>>64181517
>straight to video is expensive
That's the majority of the reason isn't it? Have you seen what the Disney Channel original movies go for now?
>>64181651
What's so special about Florida that makes VHS only horror movies so big there?
>>64181617
I guess that like me and trying to find the scans of the old porn magazines I threw out when I moved out

I'm not entirely sure since I'm young enough to have missed the beginning history and fairly new to the horror scene, but I know a lot of amateur filmmakers and film enthusiasts in the area grew up watching Friday the 13th, Halloween, etc. on VHS, so there's a sense of nostalgia surrounding that. It's to the point where a lot of the guys in the area started distributing on VHS instead of DVD.

to be fair, there is boatloads of vhs (and dvd) porn that has yet to find it way to the internet so the only way to see certain stuff is through the physical tapes.

You fucking manchild.
Also Macho Man's greatest hit was the tree right before he died.

>tfw all of this shit is on Cinemageddon for free
>tfw freeleech is on
Watched a documentary about VHS collectors and they had a guy who paid $660 for Tales From the Quadead Zone. They had another guy who said that if he knew about the ebay auction he would have easily put over one thousand dollars on it.
It looks like shit complete shit but I guess they didn't make many copies.
Coreytapes bro

Brad Jones did a review of that tape. Holy shit did it look bad.

That's modern VHS for you. The most expensive stuff is shitty horror movies.

OP, the days of video were the fucking wild west and I'd say that, maybe, 50% of what was put out on VHS/Beta made it onto DVD. Even less has been released on Bluray.
When video first appeared, stores were desperate for product to put on the shelves and anything/everything that could be put on tape was.
But by the late 80's/early 90's the stores were oversaturated and by then only carried the latest Hollywood blockbusters. All of that weird, fucked up shit that got on tape fell by the wayside.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times!!!FACT!!! https://youtu.be/EdBFRxvg22c
