Is Mark a cunt for this?
>>
No, there are assholes out there that only wants to make profits off your name.
>>
No.

Didn't Daisy Ridley say something similar?

They're happy to sign for fans, not people who sell (and often copy/fake) signatures.
>>
Nah
>>
>>64168208
No.
>>
Fuck those nerds. They did my boy wrong and he's not going to let it happen again.
>>
no it's a perfectly valid excuse. why is it bad?

You have your answer, OP
>>
What's the point of autographs anyways unless you're going to sell it?
>>
>>64168208

No, it's a legitimate greivance, and Hamil seems to enjoy interacting with fans in other ways without it.
>>
No, that's the right thing to do.

Signings should be "To ____" to stop these assholes who flip shit on ebay.
>>
>>64168208

Yes.

>Ruin a fan's day just because someone else might potentially sell it
>>
>>64168208
Mark is based fuck off cunt
>>
>>64168208
No

If people want an autograph, just visit his ass at a convention and pay for one.

If you see him on the street just shake his hand or something, Christ.
>>
>>64168305

Proof that you met someone you like and look up to, and have something unique from them.
>>

You can't deny that some people idol-worship.

Why do people think they're entitled to autographs?

They're a favour and they're completely pointless when the person asking is only asking to have something, not because they'll have any use for it.

Bob Dylan had it right decades ago:

>>
>>64168327
You're not entitled to anything you piece of shit. You're lucky Mark isn't allowed to spit on scum like you.

>€5

So you printed this shit out, went to America or waited for him to come here, and now you're selling it for five euros? And you have ten of them?
>>
>>64168305
Autographed pics without a dedication are pointless
>>
I call bullshit. If he truly signed all night, then the signature would have no value.
>>

this is why we can't have nice things

WHAT KIND OF AUTIST DOESN'T SELL AUTOGRAPHED SHIT FOR CASH?
>>
Wasn't it revealed that he's selling his own shit on eBay?
>>
it doesnt count unless he signs with the robot hand.
>>
I thought kids those days asked for selfies instead of autographs?

Anyway I read that if you dedicate the autograph to someone it makes it less valuable to sell, but I guess it takes much more time to sign.

>>

you're giving money for no real service and/or product. That's a false economy. He's helping the economy by not diluting goods and service sector capital.
>>
>>64168208
not at all
>>
>>64168471
I had a dedicated one from a baseball player and sold it for like quadruple the going rate on ebay to someone with my name

It's all about marketing
>>
>>64168547
maybe they could export everything.
>>
>>64168208

no
>>
>>64168509

Hahaha, that is cute, fair AND fast. Literally took seconds, the only bad thing is that he walked around instead of the kids.
>>
He's controlling the market so if he ever needs side cash he can sell his own autograph.
>>
>>64168404
Do you not understand the economics of supply and demand? The only way the autographs become worthless is when supply exceeds demand.

Let's say he signs 1000 a night, and does that 100 days a year. That is 100,000 a year. If there are 4 million people in the willing to pay for Mark Hamill autographs, it will take 40 years before the supply reaches the demand level.
>>
>got a chance to meet mlb players on the field prior to a game
>for every little kid with a sharpie and ball in their hand there was a grown man with a backpack full of merchandise all pre-selected for certain players

It just looks fucking pathetic when you see it so obviously like that. I can understand Hamill not wanting to sign autographs for this reason.
>>
>>64168703
so just don't sign anything from those assholes. they're easy to spot apparently.
>>
>>64168761

>>64168208
I'd think it's kind of rude to deny somebody a signature, but I do see what he means
>>
>>64168823
not when everyone finds out your only in the rest of the movies like 1 minute.
>>
>>64168547

Entertainment is a false economy then?

Famous people just provide a good for free: their signature. They don't profit from it because moral reasons or whatever. After acquiring the signature, the owner of that signature can do whatever s/he wants from it, like selling it. And selling it implies someone buys it at that price, because s/he was willing and able to. You cannot dictate what people should buy or sell.
>>
>>64168858

>implying he didn't steal the whole movie without uttering any words
>>
>>64168208
>WAHH I DON'T MAKE ENOUGH! I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO SELL MY OWN AUTOGRAPHS

Wow, what a greedy asshole.
Considering he is a hacky actor only know for one role and "voice acting" in children cartoons. A lot of arrogance.
>>
>>64168305

People want to meet celebrities and have proof for all their friends later because god forbid anything happen without telling everyone.
>>
>>64168952
hes gonna send some idiot on a quest. then vanish from the movies. wooo amazing.
>>
>>64168431
Faggot
>>
>>64168954
Are you seriously this retarded? The reason he doesn't do it is because if he did then assholes that don't care about him or his movies would waste his time having him sign tons of shit that would end up getting sold on ebay.
>>
>>64168208
There are more fans trying to get autographs than dealers. If actors don't want to Sign for fans because one in ten might sell it, they're assholes.
>>
he should just start selling his own signature under pseudonyms
>>
>>64168208
The easy workaround for this has always been to only sign personalized autographs.
These are reseller poison because no one wants to buy something addressed to someone else.
Looking at my family's old star trek stuff pretty much everything has a little blurb addressed to a family member. They knew what they were doing.
>>
>>64169152
So? Not everyone can go in America and hope to meet him to get his autograph.
This way he is just preventing his foreign fans to have something with his name on it.

He is an asshole.
>>
How about this
>take picture with Hamill first time you meet him
>next time you meet him you ask him to sign the picture
>>
>>64169312
He'll have had little kids come up to him giving sob stories and asking for his signature, give it then find out that little kid was lying and its for their father to sell.
>>
>>64168208

>>be celebrity on twitter
>>just with a single @ sign random people can passive aggressively call you out in from of millions of people

why
>>
>>64169261
There was some baseball player who would sign whatever people wanted except for bats. He would refuse to sign bats under any circumstances so that he could control the market on them.
>>
To be honest, I wouldn't care less if I was Hamill, it's increasing the value of an object with minimal time and effort, and the person who buys/sells the autograph is doing it out of their own choice. But I guess Hamill just feels like some people are being exploited when his autographs aren't supposed to have any big monetary value.
>>
>>64169382
Then take a picture of him holding that picture. Then the next time have him autograph that one...
>>
>>64169459
And then sell it

literally an autograph is just an excuse or means to interact with famous person that you might see in real life once in your life.

and you keep it to remind you of it, and when you see the again in a movie or on tv

its plebian but its effective.
>>
Couldnt this be prevented by not just signing it but also writing 'For XY, Mark Hamill'

Do personalised signatures sell as well as those that are not?
>>
>>64169921
You see, his wife never went to get Boyega's autograph for her son that the anon didn't father at all, she went to get his phone number instead!
The seven digit phone number is the standard in the US, however, you also need an area code and dial a 1 first but that doesn't really matter
.
The anon just can't stop getting cucked!
