For anyone interested in this genre, a few people or just one person mention Cartel Land a few days ago in a Sicario thread, 2015 aswell, it's worth the watch, it's a documentary and quite harrowing so beware of that aspect if you're easily affected. Don't think most people of 4chan would be really.

TV Series based on a book, written by a journalist who was embedded with a marine unit during the invasion of Iraq. Really great window into the culture and mindset of young marines. There's even a few actual members of the unit who play themselves, so they were present to help with authenticity.
