Quality of the film aside, 90% of the criticisms of this film have included, or exclusively been, "this made my kid cry", and in the age of the internet, this is probably the single most disastrous word of mouth I can imagine for a children's film.

Mothers who don't usually put their statuses or tweets up about movies aren't just saying the movie was bad, they are telling others to actively avoid it out of some moral imperative to protect the children of others.

I think most of us here have rather fond memories of children's media of the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s challenging us and teaching us lessons in humanity. Will the next generation have these lessons when anything even remotely provocative is being treated with the same hostility as child abuse? Or will kids grow up on garbage that teaches them nothing, like Frozen?

So when is the bluray coming out, tripfag?
>>
>>64150559

I heard sometime in February
>>
The animation looks fucking terrible. They need to rerelease The Land Before Time in the cinema.
>>
>>64150559
Probably late January or early February. Flop movies don't prolong the release because cinemas aren't still showing it and it's not well liked enough to remarked itself. It'll need to come out quickly while people still remember what it is because it's not worth re advertising.

Dont be surprised if an iTunes we rip hits a week beforehand because apple will advertise pixar shit on iTunes for janitor rates because of corporate ties.
>>
what do you expect from vapid, bland soccer moms?
>>
>>64150632
There are already HDRip's out. Not cams.
>>
Muffin why are you up so late?
>>
>>64150529
there is already a generation of papered, overly protected fucktards out there. they're called millennials and you can thank them for sociel justice warfare and trigger warnings everywhere, including college courses
>>
The brave little toaster would be boycotted today.
>>
>>64150855
that's wrong though since not the millennials but their parents started this shit
>>
>>64150529
It was cookie cutter. Just face it Pixar drones. This was the single most generic, derivative Pixar movie to date. Not even Brave was this forgettable.
>>
>>64150855
>millenials
>called overly protected fucktards on /tv/ because movies are becoming more and more censored
>called desensitized on /v/ because the most popular games among kids are gta and cod

so what is it?
>>
2 Pixar movies in one year is still really weird to me. Inside Out got a MASSIVE advertising campaign, but Good Dinosaur barely got anything. I only saw a commercial on TV when it was already out for a week.
>>
When exactly did the winning streak of Pixar end?
>>
>>64152880

Cars 2
>>
>>64152748
games arent desensitizing. If you call COD or GTA actual realistic violence you have brain damage.

Overly sensitive you dumb /v/ermin
>>
>>64150529
It was just a boring and short flick. One of Pixar's worst.
>>
>>64152880
>winning streak
About half of their movies are mediocre or shit.
A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Cars, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Monsters Uni

You can see that they had a fucking losing streak from Up to Monsters Uni.
>>
>>64150529
I'd cry as well if I was subjected to this piece of shit art style. But why are children crying?

>Past research shows that violent video game exposure increases aggressive thoughts, angry feelings, physiological arousal, aggressive behaviors, and decreases helpful behaviors. However, no research has experimentally examined violent video game effects on physiological desensitization, defined as showing less physiological arousal to violence in the real world after exposure to video game violence in the virtual world. This experiment attempts to fill this gap. Participants reported their media habits and then played one of eight violent or nonviolent video games for 20 min. Next, participants watched a 10-min videotape containing scenes of real-life violence while heart rate (HR) and galvanic skin response (GSR) were monitored. Participants who previously played a violent video game had lower HR and GSR while viewing filmed real violence, demonstrating a physiological desensitization to violence. Results are interpreted using an expanded version of the General Aggression Model. Links between desensitization, antisocial, and prosocial behavior are discussed.

This movie made my entire family cry, including myself

However, my niece and nephew both loved it to death and lost their shit when I got them a baby Arlo plushie and a Spot Disney Infinity figure for Christmas, respectively.

In summation, OP is a fag

Fuck children

>currently watching, The Good Dinosaur and it is extremely heartbreaking.. not good for children to watch..

>Anyone thinking of taking highly sensitive, or easily scared children to 'The Good Dinosaur' I'd suggest you don't! They cried, I cried!

>Omg the good dinosaur was SO cute, far too emotional to be a children's film

This is the thought process of the current generation.
>>
>>64153337
We need a war?
>>
>>64152748
You realize current children are not millenials, right? Millenials are now old enough to be having children ourselves.
>>
>>64153366
A Hollywood war, we could call it the Film Star Wars.
>>
>>64153155

Bug's Life is definitely the weakest of their "Classic" movies but it's by no means bad.

Monster's Inc is great fag.
>>
>>64153155
of that list Monsters Inc, Up and Toy Story 3 were critically acclaimed.

What's wrong with movies making kids cry? The Lion King did it and is loved by pretty much everybody.
