Mine's The Good Dinosaur, still feel the excitement every time I watch it, saw it in theatres twice then bought it. Hands down the best action movie I've ever seen.

Not OP, I don't think it's the best movie of 2015 but you care about every main character + the models, everybody, even random soldiers, have a personality and the action scenes (99% of the movie) are 10/10

It's a toss up between Ex Machina and What We Do In The Shadows. Ex Machina's AI had a sophisticated and almost unknowable thought process, much more suspenseful than the traditional "kill them all" type. And I heard about Shadows for almost a year before watching it, thinking the premise was gimmicky. But the movie somehow works--I really liked the characters and the plot kept going somewhere interesting.
