Whats your favorite movie of 2015?
Mine's Mad Max Fury Road, still feel the excitement every time I watch it, saw it in theatres twice then bought it. Hands down the best action movie I've ever seen.

The revenant is my most favourite this year also mad max was finally a good action movie. The hateful eight was fine but i wont probably watch it again.
I'd agree, memes aside. At least in terms of action movies. I can't remember being this excited after seeing a movie in the theater for a long time. Nothing that came out this year can touch it
Mine's The Good Dinosaur, still feel the excitement every time I watch it, saw it in theatres twice then bought it. Hands down the best action movie I've ever seen.

My wife and I were talking about this as we smoke a joint during the intermission of The Hateful Eight.
Mad Max is still our favorite.
>>64144637
Does a limited release qualify it as a 2015 movie?
>>64144541
My fav is the DFW movie, even though it is kind of bullshit.
>>64144541
I loved Fury Road but it definitely doesn't have the same impact watching it at home as it does in the cinema.
I heard they're re-releasing next year in theatres in black and white.
The Lobster is second place.
Green Room is technically 2016, but that was just as good as either of these.
>>64144541
Fury Road was great. itching to rewatch it.
Cop Car, Blackhat, Ghost Protocol were good too
>>64145669
Whenever the movie became available to the general public (ie. non-festival release) is the only logical way to qualify. That's how every critics association/award ceremony does it.
>>64144541
l like "Ex Machina", "The Martian", "Trainwreck", "Me, Earl, & Dying Young Girl", "99 Home", & "Rogue Nation" so far this year. I have been meaning to check few more like "Room", "Joy", "Creed", & "Program". Is there anything else I should watch ?
>>64145649
I did the same thing with my wife's boyfriend, but it was TFA.
Mad Max was definitely better.

Star Wars and MI5
>There are people that think Fury Road is better than The Road Warrior
>>64146370
>>64146384
Is better than any of the previous Mad Max movies.
>>64146410
Better than the first and Thunderdome, but not The Road Warrior
>>64146429
objectively correct
>>64146429
I recognize your opinion but I will not agree with it.
What did you like about it so much OP? I felt it was really underwhelming compared to the reviews it got
>>64146543
high adrenaline with lots of amazing things to look at and to listen at
>dat engine revving in the warner logo screen
i knew this movie got me hooked at that point already
>>64144541
this, exactly like you said it fám tbqfh
TFA
>>64146543
Not OP, I don't think it's the best movie of 2015 but you care about every main character + the models, everybody, even random soldiers, have a personality and the action scenes (99% of the movie) are 10/10
>>64146618
>>64146429
I was hanging on to this opinion too but I'm ready to concede; FR is better.

The way shit is filmed to ripped apart in Fury Road is so fucking HHHHNNNGGGGG it just looks better destruction than any ohter movie I've seen
>people shit on star wars for the tiniest little details that barely even matter
>mad max is FILLED with gaping holes EVERYWHERE but people are willing to look past it because it's different
I want off this wild ride
>>64146694
it's so immersive, the weight of the actions in fight, combat, destruction scenes in this movie.
>>64146730
>>64146697
There were way less conveniences in Madmax than in starwars
>>64146697
hardcore star wars fans have always been extremely nitpicky, and right now being/pretending to be a hardcore star wars fan is cool
(and TFA had exclusively shit characters except for 2 or 3)
>>64146803
This was my fave OP. Based Kurzel
Antman.
Everything else was forgettable. At least antman was entertaining

>let's take all the colour that added a great deal to the cinematic experience for gimmicks
It's a toss up between Ex Machina and What We Do In The Shadows. Ex Machina's AI had a sophisticated and almost unknowable thought process, much more suspenseful than the traditional "kill them all" type. And I heard about Shadows for almost a year before watching it, thinking the premise was gimmicky. But the movie somehow works--I really liked the characters and the plot kept going somewhere interesting.

It's out of cinema now I think and I can't find a rip. Ah well, I guess I can wait. I watched Polanskis recently and that was good.
not even joking, saw it in theaters 7 times. well worth it.
