I don't mind strong female characters, but obvious pandering where the woman is not a genuine character, but just a "looksee how stronk this woman is, she don't need no man!" is annoying.
If they made a movie about how a man took a nursing job or a job in a daycare center and constantly dropped lines about how "real men can care for children!" to encourage men to do that, it'd be just as hamfisted and annoying.

If they constantly made movies about how a black man rebelled against some white master, and all black characters had to say some shit like: "I belong to no one but myself" or "I am no man's servant" and shit, it'd be the same thing, and it'd be forced and annoying.
A character who's badass and happens to be a woman or black or what the fucker ever is awesome. A character specifically invented to go against some perceived norm, like women being weaker than men, is annoying. Being beaten over the head with a viewpoint gets tiresome.
